Introduction

Name: Loki
Title: The Trickster God
Pantheon: Norse

Villain. It's a word used to describe those that break the rules, that take what they want, and care nothing for those hurt along the way. Loki, the trickster God, would say villainy is nothing more than a point of view.

The point of view of fools too mindless to seize opportunity.

Of course, with Loki now on the loose, the implications are dire. The end of times may be at hand. The final battle, Ragnarok, possibly on the horizon, for it was foretold that Loki would break free of his prison and herald the horrific final battle that would leave the Gods slain, the heavens sundered, and the world in ashes. None are more eager for that time of chaos than Loki.

Before his confinement, Loki's malicious mischief managed to affect every God in ways both beneficial and terrible. Yet Loki's most heinous act was in the death of the God of light, Baldr.

Baldr's prophetic dreams showcased his own death. Fearful for her son, Frigg, forced all objects of the world to swear never to harm him. All save mistletoe. Cruelly amused, Loki forged a spear from the plant and provided it to Baldr's brother Hodr. The Gods had a new favorite game, hurling objects at Baldr and laughing as they harmlessly ricocheted. So Hodr threw the spear, but, to everyone's horror Baldr was impaled. Hel agreed to release Baldr from the underworld if all creatures of the world mourned the God of Light. And all did, save one crone who refused. So Baldr died.

When it was discovered the crone was Loki in disguise, the furious Gods bound him in entrails and hung a venomous serpent overhead. Loki's wife, Sigyn, collected the dripping venom in a bowl, but when she was forced to empty it, Loki was struck, causing such anguish his thrashing would shake the world.

But now Loki is free and already wreaking havoc. If the prophetic Volva are correct, and they always are, then the end of all things has finally come.

How to Loki

Playing as Loki, your job is to shut down the opposing DPS Gods which are almost always the squishy ones. You never initiate fights, always stay back or attack players who are out of position. Play cautiously until the time arises for your special skills to come into play.

Example of when to strike:
Your Lane - You as Loki and partner is Hercules
Opposing Gods in your lane - Odin and Zeus

Hercules pushed up too far and puts himself out of of position so the enemy Odin uses Ring of Spears on Hercules setting up the ult from Zeus.

What to do: Assassinate immediately on Zeus to silence the ult. aimed strike after then continue to basic attack. Depending on how situations goes, Vanish to catch up to a running Zeus then attack again or if the situation is bad, you have Vanish to escape with.

What you did: You shut down their main damage source, while also giving Hercules a chance to survive in the ring with Odin. If you're lucky you'll both survive OR completely turn it around by killing Zeus and then focusing Odin for the double kill.

Pros/Cons

Pros: You'll be able to take out any squishy in a matter of seconds.

Cons: You're also very squishy, pick your targets carefully and only initiate if you have the upper hand.

Creeping/Jungling

When it comes to jungling, there's a few buff's you'll be looking for constantly if you want the clear advantage.

Speed - +20% Movement Speed

Damage - +20% Magical and Physical Power

The reasons to have these buffs as a DPS assassin should be obvious!

Yeah decoy 1st is for pushing your lane. Otherwise its a decent escape tool and helps to avoid creep damage.

I'll try to add video soon :D

Sunfall, I think the one instance where maxing Decoy first would be when you are Loki Mid. If you dont max out Decoy, you will get outfarmed very quickly. However, by maxing it out early, you have WAY better minion control than even Ra, Anubis, Poseidon, and Agni.

Is there any particular reason why you chose to max out Decoy before Aimed Strike? Because maxing out Aimed Strike early allows you to dish out some insane damage bursts to help you secure those kills easier, whether you're punishing an overaggressive opponent or ganking another lane.

The only use for leveling Decoy is to farm minion waves. It doesn't really speed up your jungle clears that much (just getting more physical power helps more anyways). Everything else you'd need Decoy for (taunting minion aggro, blocking that darned Neith ult) is possible by leaving it at Rank 1.

The guide is good concerning his layout and overall look.
The main part of my "con-list" is your build.
- Executioner is not that worth it for Loki, as you don't do so many AAs, cause you most likely melt them with the 2nd hit. To keep the item-order up i would recommend the voidblade for some protection and good pen
-Golden Bow is an item I won't recommend at all, and I don't even knew why you wanna build it. My recommendation is the Titansbane for damage and awesome shredding.
- The Rageblade is an item I only use for Ranged AD-Carrys. For Loki it's not as worthy as other items for the same reason as on Executioner. Also you don't need a higher Crit-Chance as you most likely backstab to 1 or 2 shot enemys. My recommendation is that you try the Qin's Blades to shred Tanks faster.

With all that i usually get like 14-2 in Conq so try it out^^
