My name is Gogar. I have been playing Loki a lot recently and decided to make a guide for an archive and to share with the public to get ideas and share my own ideas. I haven't been playing as long, but I am currently a Gold IV and still rising pretty quickly. My Loki is Level VIII, getting close to IX! I play Joust the most, and I main Hunters and Assassins.
Alright, Loki's build is very straight forward. It is very focused around Power to empower your Aimed Strike, Pen. to actually hit for the amount you want on carries/warrior/guardians, CDR for maximizing utility (Vanish) and an extra Aimed Strike Proc every once in a while. Bluestone Pendant is in my opinion the best starter item on Loki, with that I like to take tier 1 boots, a sentry ward, and 2 health pots or 2 mana pots. This start gives Loki max potential to do somewhat damage at the start of the game, this is because his bleed will have more to offer than his auto burst, so bluestone goes extremely well with it. Always, and always rush Warrior Tabi! You are an assassin, you NEED the movement and the power is amazing for his skills. Jotunn's Wrath is pretty straight forward, gives everything we're looking for. Titans Bane, when you get this, you are free to kill people pretty quickly as long as you know what you're doing. Hydra's Lament is a MASSIVE Upgrade for Loki's Kit and allow you to do just about anything in Joust, literally kill carries and get out with ease.
Okay, so defense isn't the most vital thing on Loki, you should have a little peel for you by your tank, so don't bother with defense unless if you are just getting owned. Shifters shield, since they reduced it's price, it makes it a great item, flipping 60 power, that's a **** load. Transcendence is good at late game. Why? Well Loki's clear isn't the strongest early game, and he may take creep damage more than he should when going for last hits, it's better to build when your decoy can kill things instantly and plus you'll have more points in decoy. Brawlers beat stick is there in case if they have healing!
Loki's skills are very simple to use, but require some knowledge if you wanna do some BS on the enemy team, sometimes it isn't as simple as 3-4-1 away. In Joust 3v3 sticking to the jungle isn't always best until you know you can start doing some good damage. ALWAYS focus whoever is the most threatful enemy teammate. Sometimes this means "Not the fed one." Sometimes killing the Medusa to prevent her from ulting will be better for the whole of your own team from dying. Joust is very combo'y in the sense that Loki (A lone rider) needs to kill the person who completes their setup with the cherry on top. Therefore you need to kill them as fast as possible, so you 3 will perform the max amount of damage for you. Your ult isn't really used for damage. It is used for the utility of the stun and distance. Catch an opponent after they burn escapes, initiate a fight (Not always good), save a teammate when getting towerdived, etc.. Vanish, be sure to pop this a while before you go in, it lasts longer than you think you can walk, even if you come out of vanish right before you get to them, it's fine, you still get the DOT that you want to apply on them, also most of the game, get used to auto canceling for maximizing your damage early game (Read that Section, do it!). When canceling autos, you put Loki into max kill potential. Loki's ult can also be used as a beans effect against certain skills such as ares ult, before you get pulled, ult a carry, screw over their combo! be sure to use your 3 before your ulti Unless if you are going to chain your autos after you ult.
Alrighty, auto attack chaining or auto attack cancels is EXTREMELY important when trying to maximize your skill and damage as loki, this also makes him look way more flashy. This is also why in my opinion attack speed loki is a fail and you should never do it. Now auto attack cancels are really simple to do and doesn't take to long to be consistent at it to the point at where you don't even have to think about it. Once mastered, you can decide when it is actually worth auto attack canceling. If the target is low, just 3-4 them and 1 away, but if you are going on a full HP target and you know you can't 2 shot them, auto cancel to get the max damage and save yourself an extra second or two so you can get away quickly as possible. Doing a test on the RA bot, auto canceling him at full hp (1-AA-3-AA-2-AA-4-AA) is a lot faster when he was at full hp then then the (1-3-4-AA) Combo. To sum it up, Low HP= 1-3-AA or 3-4-AA-1, High HP= 1-AA-3-AA-2-AA-4-AA. Watch the videos closely and view the damage sources between auto canceling and not auto canceling.

Usually you might want to build stacks as early as possible, especially if you are the one clearing. But if others are clearing before you, then it makes sense.
(Or just level your decoy first instead of three to clear, standard for solo Loki)
