This is just a simple guide for Loki, and I hope you try it, Like it, give me some feedback on the comment box, what ever. Anyways this is my first build i published on smite fire and if players like it, I will continue doing guides with more depth and maybe even with some coding.
PROS
+ Very high single target damage
+ Extremely mobile with assassinate and vanish
+ Can clear minion waves and control them with decoy
+ Dangerous ganker
+ Good at clearing jungle
CONS
- Squishy
- Hard to master
- Pretty useless against high CC team
- Assassinate is pretty much hes only gap closer
if you dont count the movement speed of hes vanish ability
There's a specific reason why I chose the ability and skill sequence that I have for this build. I have looked up other players guides and tried them, but never done as good with them as i have done with this build. This build I figured out on my own, and it has always worked for me. It has so much snowball potential and when you get couple kills early, there is basically nothing that can stop you, if you just keep roaming and shutting other lanes down while you are at it.
The reason i max Aimed Strike first is because i like to play really aggressive, and by that i mean constantly harassing and zoning enemies with my lane partner. I like to have someone with me that has good crowd control and decent damage so i can stab enemies to back as much as possible for maximum punishment.
Second I max Decoy, since it helps you clear jungle and minion waves a lot faster and also gives you good control of minions since it taunts them for a while, with this you can take little less damage from enemy minions if your going all in on someone.
I level Vanish last since I use it just for escaping, ganks and chasing enemies down if needed. I like to give it one upgrade early though, because it is also usefull for messing with the enemies in a teamfight or just buying some time for your cooldowns to reset.
I dont really have much to tell about the items, except that some people may wonder that why i choose to go for Hydra's Lament and Jotun's Wrath, it is pretty simple though. Reason i get Hydra's Lament is because when your in mid game, and you start dealing some serious damage, especially to the squishier gods, you like to have that extra 120% physical damage after you hit a ability. The damage you can done in just a couple of seconds with this item is just nightmare for the enemy team. I have used Hydra's Lament since the very beginning i started playing with Loki, and I gotta say that I find people that don't buy it for him pretty stupid, but that is just my personal opinion about it.
Then about Jotun's Wrath. Having skills on cd, it pretty annoying with Loki. With this item you get 25% off from your ability cooldowns, and that makes a big difference in your damage, and makes you just a bit more mobile too in teamfights, since you can pop vanish more often and of course aimed strike which is kind a cool when you can drop enemies from 50% to 0 in just 2 hits.
I think that loki can handle himself in every lane exept mid. It highly recommended you to farm junge camps and start ganking all lanes as soon as you think your able to, about level 4 - 6 or after your first home run. Loki's best feature is hes element of surprise, there is almost no way to know your coming for a gank when you roam from lane to lane. Even if enemy has wards there is a little chance he will get away alive if you just catch him with assassinate and your teammate is not sleeping. Of course it is possible that the enemy will just tower hug and you can't just do much more than farm camps, even though at this kind of situations I usually just go back to lane that i left and try to push the tower down, after that it is again much more easier to get effective ganks.
It is very important to know your role in team fights. You are squishy assassin, and you need to have some patience. What I like to do is to watch from a distance so that enemy can't see me, I let tank go first then wait my other teammates to get some damage in. After this I just try to find their carries and jump in with Assassinate and hopefully kill someone in couple seconds. If the rest of their team is already about 50% health I should be able to kill them with my team very easily, even if 1 or 2 of my teammates had died during the fight. So basically Loki is a deadly finisher, and carry destroyer. What you should never do, even how fed you are at the point, you should NEVER start a team fight going in first. If you get focused you will usually just die before you can even vanish, so be careful and try to pick the right moment to jump in, and i recommend always to jump in with assassinate, and save vanish for escaping if it is needed.

At first I thought that this was just ********, that guides are for ******s. Then I started reading the guide, and it showed me a new perspective in playing Loki.
After reading the guide throughout I prepared myself for what was to become a crush victory. I slaughtered the whole enemy team and got my first pentakill on Smite. It's a day I will never forget.
Thanks to this guide I now got a story to share with my grandsons some day.
