I rarely post negative comments, as I rarely post comments at all. But I really couldn't stay away from this one. I feel like I don't need to go over all the obvious red flags in both your build and in your questionable statement below. I have always been a believer in posting builds for yourself and nobody else, but the fact that you "like the recommendations for pen" shows that this build IS intended for others to use.. In which case, what are you doing?? If you say that pen items are good situationally, the LEAST you could do is specify that and list some options. At the end of the day, this is your build and you're free to do whatever you wish with it. But if your goal is to "guide" people to do better, then you are completely off base.

Note that this was last created/updated on February 12th, and hasn't logged onto SF since February 17th. Probably not worth commenting on this one =P

Ya, I noticed that. But I figured if they ever do come back, it'd have been worth it.

Thanks for all the comments! Keep in mind that this build is for joust, and I expect Discordia poke ability to shut down teams early on with this build. I like the recommendations for pen., but I would only look into that situationally or against a Guardian/Warrior team comp. When playing Discordia you will have some sense of ***n/hunter/warrior and simply make them responsible for shutting down tanks. Discordia can trap and control, and shut down easily any ***n, hunter, or even other mages. I have used this build forever and it has gotten me a Diamond Discordia two seasons in a row. Also chilling in Plat Arena with this build

Nobody cares about your Joust rank (least respected rank). It's not hard to do well in ranked joust. It's an endless farm of lower tier players. Your build is bad, there is no beating round the bush with this.

If I ran a double tank comp against you using this build you would be getting farmed yourself.

Why is joust the least respected rank mode for? To me and my group of 10 or so I play with it's our preferred game mode for sure. Conquest is alright, and it might be what the "pros" play for tournaments mainly, but meh, it's just a game, if I wanted to play a real 5v5 I would prolly go off and play more respected games like LoL anyways. Joust is unique, fun, and requires a whole different mindset and strategy than conquest, same goes for clash, arena, etc. Different strokes for different folks though, you got to respect that at least.

No one has created another guide for Discordia since season 5, this is the only somewhat recent one. So as far as a "bad guide" there isn't anything to compare it to to make it bad.

You're toxic and egomaniac attitude is disgusting. Players like you are the biggest downside of Smite. Egoistic "know it all" pro wannabe nerds who thinks they're the "****"
Spread you're poison somewhere else. Nobody needs person like you around.

Criteria is welcome but this ain't that.
Also who the F said Joist not respected? Jist because you think so doesn't mean others think the same. I love all Smite game modes and if one does a good job in Joust or Siege or any other mode he does deserve some respects and gratitude for sharing what type of build did worked for him. Period!

Just wanted to let you know that gods get magical protections as they level up. For example, Anhur at level 20 will have 48 magical protections. 10 pen from shoes of the magi only cuts through about 1/5 of his protections.

If you are a high threat to my team and I was supporting, I would probably pick up a heartward amulet (early) to negate the pen from your shoes of the magi.

Congrats on the "plat arena" rank, buddy. Let me know if your build ever takes you to grand masters.

I've had a few arena games where I didn't die at all even though I was in the enemies' faces. Does that make me an arena GM?

I'm personally a fan of Rvynn's build direction for Discordia in teamfight modes. This means rushing CDR for ability spamming, since she can poke so well. Chronos' Pendant would do much better earlier in the build.

This build also really lacks penetration. Shoes of the Magi isn't enough. Spear of Desolation can be considered, as can Divine Ruin for anti-heal effect, and Obsidian Shard to counter tanky builds.

Bancroft's Talon isn't a good pick for her. She's not a boxer/bruiser. She's a long-distance poke god.

As such, can't exactly recommend this build.

A bit outdated, patch-wise, but still. Solid. https://www.smitefire.com/smite/guide/season-5-discordia-18957

Can't recommend these builds at all, especially shaman's ring on Discordia and 2nd item at that.

You should add some penetration options like
Obsidian shard
Divine ruin
Spear of desolation

Bancrofts talon is a high risk/medium reward item. If you get injured a lot, you can unleash a pretty strong ult. But I would say just stick with soul gem.

This is Joust I would get Bancrofts before/after boots.

boogiebass (46) | February 13, 2019 7:38am
Hmm. Gonna have to agree with Bran's comment on the bancroft's talon

Sure, but would you get Bancroft's Talon and Soul Gem together like the author is doing?
