With the release of 4.2 my favorite God Nike has been nerfed but they also included new items to counter balance this nerf. As I leveled nike up I realized that her nerf is not as bad as it may look and she still provides the damage and tank we all love.
I know I provided a lot of items... but playing the warrior role is situational but I never wander off this set of items.
I always get warrior tabi to keep that damage from her rend up and make sure it still hurts.
The next item I always get is Stone of Gia with its new buff it has become even more powerful allowing you to not get knocked up every once every 90 seconds and the health regen buff is excellent to help you stay in lane.
Now is where we get a little complicated
You should go with brawlers beat stick if you are laneing against someone with a lot of health regen like Hercules.
You should build jotans wraith against hard lane pusher so you have the cooldown to counter push the lane with your rend.
Next, you can build sovereignty if you ned some more health regen and or health but if you need more cooldown reduction go for the breastplate of valor.
Next, you can build bulwark of hope if you are getting bursted and need that extra shield below 30 percent health the other option is heartward amulet and this is picked if you team is getting bursted by a mage as it provides protections to your teammates
And now we come to the new items we are talking which are blackthorn hammer and gladiator's Sheild now if you want more health and more cooldown go for blackthorn hammer if you believe you need more health regen go for gladiator's shield (gladiator's shield give you health back on enemies you hit with your abilities) either way both of these items provide you with some more attack damage.
How to deal with cc
With god as strong as Ymir you can be stunned or silenced out of your fissure ability.
The best thing to do is use your fissure alone without empowering it as you usually only get one of the fissures off anyway.
Then use their lack of cc against them and leap on them to get some damage off as they can't stop you, but only provide a couple of hits than back off as their abilities will be back up soon.
It's simple max your rend. then your plan of action, then lastly you max your valiant leap. Obviously you want to max your ultimate ability every time you can.
