Irradiate is a self buff that gives Freya a boost in damage and a small amount of lifesteal for 5 seconds.
Pulse is a self buff that makes her basic attacks ranged, slows the enemy, gives a small amount of lifesteal, and a boost in damage for 5 seconds.
Banish is an AOE ability that lifts an enemy or 2 up in the air for up to 2 seconds.
Valkyrie's Discretion is Freya's ult. She flies up into the air and can fire 4 shots in an AOE on the ground. While ulting, she has full movement capabilities, decent range, and is immune to all damage and crowd control effects.
NOTE: Valkyrie's Discretion does NOT provide any movement buffs, so it is NOT ideal for escaping (most of the time). See General Strategy for more on ulting out of battle.
This is a great item for all mages. If gives early mana, magical penetration, speed, and magical power. The mana is especially helpful because you will likely be spamming Pulse like crazy.
This is essential for Freya (in my opinion anyway). It gives a major boost to attack and movement speed allowing for 3 extra shots when using Pulse.
Warlock's Sash The extra health and mana from this item is great for sustaining your lane. The magical damage is good for making sure you continue getting more powerful throughout the course of the game.
This is where you can start destroying your opponents. The magical power increase by 25% at level 3 is invaluable.
This item is more for taking out tanks. By now, tanks should have so much protection it takes 2 or 3 gods to take one out. With the magical penetration from this, you are able to cut through their armor like butter.
This gives you some extra damage and lifesteal. More importantly, it gives you 1 magical power per 1% of missing health. Late game, you can truly maximize your K/D. When you are low on health you get more damage and the more damage you do, the more health you recover.
Grabbing about 2 of these will help you sustain both early and late game.
During early game, it is advantageous to have about 2 of these. As the game progress and you get more MP5, you should only need 1.
The best way I have found to play Freya is to:
-Play mostly ranged. Since your so squishy, your going to want to keep your distance most of the time.
-Move constantly. Try to move so fast they can't hit you. If you keep a distance from melee gods and dodge attacks from ranged gods, you won't take much damage.
-Use ults wisely. When I play Freya, I generally poke them with pulse then, when they are at about 1/3 health, destroy them with Valkyrie's Discretion. Since you can't take damage when ulting, you can tower dive extremely well.
-Use the 3-1 combo. When you pulse is down, (or it is just inconvenient to use it) lift them with banish, activate Irradiate, then right as they begin to fall, unleash your auto attack. This is great for finishing off enemies when your ult is down. This also tends to work better late game because Irradiate won't be as strong early game.
-Play passive at first. During early game, you will only have boots, so you should play passive. When you buy Fatalis, you can shoot up to 8 times with pulse, which will help keep the pressure on your opponent. Next, when you get Warlock's Sash, you get the mana and health you need to sustain longer.
-Be greedy when you know you can get the kill AND survive. Because of your speed, you can tower dive and get a couple hits before you take any serious damage.
-Use Irradiate and Pulse together. You gain buffs from both abilities but lose the slow and area effect, so this combo is better for single target damage. I only recommend this if you need to kill a tower extremely fast or finish off an enemy that is on the brink of escaping.
-Use Banish effectively. When being chased, you generally can outrun any opponent; however when you can't, you can quickly turn around, use Banish, and escape without taking much damage. The circle for Banish is pretty small, so be sure you are able to make the hit before you cast it. With practice, you can hit your target very quickly and minimize damage taken.
-Watch out for assassins. Because you are very squishy, they will target you first. If someone like a Loki surprises you and takes half your health, simply cast banish and run away.
-Keep the pressure. With Pulse, you should keep the pressure by activating it whenever you are even in range of enemy gods or minions. Pulse has an AOE, so if you keep attacking their minions while your opponent is near, they will also take damage.
-Ult out of trouble. Valkyrie's Discretion should only be used for escaping when someone like Hades or Ares is ulting. If Freya gets caught in one of those ults, it is almost certain death; however, if she ults, she is immune to all crowd control effects and damage, allowing for a clean escape.
-Use Irradiate when Pulse is on cooldown. If you are waiting for Pulse to cooldown and still have minions to take care of, use Irradiate to finish them off.
When playing Freya, you will usually be in a duo lane situation.
-Lane with the right god. Freya is best when laning with some type of tank or bruiser to absorb some of the damage, because when laning with a carry or assassin, you end up competing over kills and it is much harder to sustain.
-Remember: play range. Let your tank melee the minions while you range them out.
-Use 1-2 combo to destroy towers. (as stated in general strategy)
-Gank hard. Almost every time I come back to my lane from base I will gank my own lane when using Freya. If your tank gets pushed back to the tower while you were at base, gank the lane. You do so much damage and move so fast that they will probably retreat quite far back, which will allow your tank to go back and heal. It has work for me countless times.
Although unlikely, you may have to play mid with Freya every once in awhile.
-Remember: you are an assassin. Mid lane gods are usually mages like Ra or Anubis, which means they will be squishy. Take advantage of this and inflict damage whenever possible without putting yourself at too much of a risk.
-Keep up the pressure. Like I said before, use pulse whenever you can hit an enemy. When Pulse is down, use Irradiate to finish off minions. This will give you the extra push that is needed when playing mid.
-Ganking is still effective, even if it is just you. When returning to your lane, gank the enemy god. They will most likely be squishy, and because you so much damage, you will either get a kill or a big retreat from your opponent.
Freya is one of my favorite gods and this build and strategy has served me well. Thank you for reading my guide and hopefully it will improve your game. +1 if you like it please.

Replace warlocks sash for gem.
Reason: Warlocks requires farming, and for a God with a lot of kill potential like freya, your not going to be sitting in lane and farming. Warlocks is meant for steady farmers such as ao kuang who can clear a wave with one tornado. Why would you get gem? Because gem's passive go amazing with freya's pulse, double slow, easier for you to chase or escape.
Shard for Spears of magus.
Reason: So i really dont understand why people believe that shard is a better pen item then spears. The passive on spears not only allows your magical damage dealers on your team to do more damage but it stacks. So Freya landing many pulse + irradiate combos with the attack speed from Fatalis will stack the spears passive quickly thus creating more damage. ( same for her ult, where her 1st shot will stack the spears passive.)
If you fix these it will good. Remember with the current meta and map change, laning and farming is not possible, teamfights happen every few minutes, thus you want more kill potential. especially with a damage dealing juggernaut like freya.
1/10 Would not build.
I hope people realize you are my friend and are joking. I know for a fact you don't even own Freya.
so how much damage does a shot from your 2 with this build?
158.8 damage per shot. Remember you also get up to 8 shots within 5 secs with a 25% slow on each successful hit.
