Build Summary

Start

Notes Start with protectors mask and t1 gauntlet. I use HOG to help clear purp and 3 multi pots to sustain in lane until you have enough gold for full Gauntlet.

For relics, I like to typically start with med to help sustain in lane early but shell may be the stronger option. If you see a Cabraken, Ymir, or Odin on the enemy team, it may be better to grab shell to upgrade into Phantom Shell later.

Nox's Skill Order Notes I generally start with the 2 as you can hit the full wave with the ability early to help clear. Max the 1 first, then the 2, then the 3, upgrading your ult whenever you can.

Nox must channel and stay within range to maintain hold on the target, but may cancel this ability early. Nox will continue to channel this ability even if she is hit by Crowd Control effects. While channeling this ability Nox suffers no directional movement penalty.

Extended Build

Early Game and General Ability Guide

In the beginning, you will want to prioritize either using your 1 as setup on the enemy adc or peel. The 2 can be strong against any character with a channel ability (think Ares chains or flames). Your clear will be garbage so don't try soloing camps, ever.

Nox mains might be tempted to try and combo with the 1 and 2. Don't worry so much about it. It's generally better for you to spread your cc out in team fights unless you are locking one character down for a kill.

Don't be afraid to use your 3 to engage and get in the enemies face. Be weary that your dash can slow you down significantly as you cannot dash through your allies. More often than not it may keep your team from chasing if you aren't careful and dash straight into your no-mobility mid. I speak from lots of experience.

Your ult can be used both offensively or defensively as it reduces damage from enemies and increases it from allies. Regardless you want to save it for team fights and always use it early when possible. Once you have Pridwen and Breastplate of Vigilance online, you can use it and dash in with your shield to try and body block shots and lock down an enemy for easy kills and huge defense to your allies.

Getting to Late Game

It is safe to say that this is an extremely late game build. Many of the items are expensive. That being said, I don't recommend upgrading your Breastplate glyph until very late. Make sure that you have started building Spirit Robe before upgrading Lono's. This should land you around 4 stacks and 5 once the item is finished.

Once you finish the build you will have near max prots, very strong mitigations, some decent auras for team fights, and abilities up nearly constantly. The cooldowns will be at a level that you can constantly lock a character down with your own CC chains if you play your cards right.

Nox's kit really lends itself to an amazing support. This build has some good early game potential, maybe falls off a little in the mid game if you aren't prioritizing your farm correctly, but comes back hard in the late game. Overall, this is an extremely fun support build that should shake up your casual games and give some great laughs.

Item Choices

Lono's Mask - full stacked Lono's gives 35 of each prot in a 55 unit radius. This with fully stacked Thebes means that we are giving allies 90 total protections. That's like 1 full defensive item just for you being there. The only catch is the item takes a lot of work to get going. Makes Nox and pretty much any god you build this on feel like a genuine tank. Nox's kit really compliments what this item is trying to do and it is the core of the whole build.

Gauntlet of Thebes - this is by far one of the strongest support items early. Gives tons of protections for Lono's and the aura is great. Make sure that you aren't last hitting creeps to maximize its efficiency.

Breastplate of Valor/Vigilance - Breastplate after Thebes gives tons of great CDR and mana. 65 phys prots is also good as this is the point you are roaming the map and getting into team fights. The glyph is great against aa characters which are really common in this meta. Remember to hold off on upgrading it, however, as having another item is generally stronger than 600 gold for a single passive that doesn't come up too often.

Pridwen - This is honestly the weakest item in the build but it is necessary for Bauble to work. This gets us to 40% cooldown and is worth 1 full Lono's stack of protections. The passive is okay. Best part of it is the slow and shield but you will rarely being trying to use the damage from the shield pop. This item is basically the glue that makes this build work so it is a must include.

Sphinx's Baubles - At this point, I start Bauble to not waste any potential CDR. Upon completing this item, you have 50% CDR and should notice a big difference in your ability timers. If you are needing the extra defense, maybe hold off on buying this item last but you would be wasting a lot of potential CDR by doing so.

Spirit Robe - This item tops off our cooldowns to 60%, gives 80 total prots for Lono's (totaling 305), and has a super solid passive. This item could be exchanged for Mantle of Discord but I find the passive on Robe to be much stronger.
