Hello! it's me again. Hope you're doing well! :)
This time I bring you a build that I've been testing and that has really given me good results. If you are just starting to play with Nu Wa I recommend you to practice this build because you may be very vulnerable. You can also make some modifications to suit your play style! In my games, I always come out as top damage so I recommend you give it a try!
I also bring you an alternative in case you are not convinced to use Sacrificial Shroud!
These builds are designed to make the ultimate really dangerous and generate a lot of pressure and damage.
Hope you guys enjoy it!
Here I am going to explain a little bit the idea of this build and the use of Sacrificial Shroud (I guess you can already imagine it).
Sacrificial Shroud passive is that basically your damage is increased by 15% for a cost of 5% of your hp.
It's a pretty strong item, which in characters as squishy as Nu Wa the game mode has to be a bit more defensive. Think that with each ability you execute, 5% of your hp will be consumed, so the use of abilities has to be quite tactical and at some point, try to save it for teamfights.
This can be countered with items such as Gem Soul or Spear of the Magus or any other item that gives you magical lifesteal (in my personal opinion, those two items are the best for Nu Wa in general terms).
Chrono's Pendant, Spear of Desolation and Staff of Myrddin are bassically its main utility is the cooldow, magical damge and penetration that will guarantee a higher damage both in your normal ability and in your ultimate.
Staff of Myrddin can can give you a higher damage after using her ultimate, but this depends on how you want to play with Nu Wa.
That is, it is a very useful item in teamfights if you usually use this ability and then stay with your teammates doing damage.
But if you use it to finish someone off or to generate pressure for example in a temafight: you are in the base and your teammates in a teamfight, you throw your ultimate to generate pressure and your teammates make a kill, Staff of Myrddin will not perform at 100% with its passive. However, penetration, cooldown and magic damage can serve you actively, these decisions are yours and you can choose your playstyle!
If you want to replace Staff of Mydrin for another item because you don't want to go for that playstyle, since Sacrificial Shroud consumes a part of your maximum hp, you can use Soul Gem so you don't loose Staff of Myrddin cooldown.
Spear of Magus will give you magic life steal and some penetration, it is a good item to replace Staff of Myrddin if you don't want to use Soul Gem, you will have a little less cooldowm but in teamfights it can be more effective.
If there are many healers or builds with a lot of life steal in the enemy team, I recommend you to use Divine Ruin
Soul Reaver is a classic Nu Wa item that never fails and allows you to destroy the enemy support barriers and melt the most squishy ones with its passive.
Calamitous Rod of Tahuti is the star item. The passive causes your damage to increase by 25% on enemies that have less than 50% health with a bonus of a meteorite falling within a radius of 15 units damaging them by 35% of your magic power.
If we accumulate all the "extra damage" of Soul Reaver, Calamitous (in case you choose to use Gem Soul and use the ultimate with the 4 stacks) plus the 15% damage of the passive of Sacrificial Shroud the damage can be brutal and not to mention if the enemy has less than 50% of its HP and plays the passive of Calamitous, you can do much destruction in the enemy team and an unparalleled pressure.
I have had my doubts about whether to include this build or not, but I leave it for you to try it and give me your feedback.
Minikin Hidden Blade will give you more damage if you have not inflicted damage or have not taken damage in the last 5 seconds, this is good for when your teammates are in a teamfight and you are in another part of the map and you use the ulti with Manikin's cooldown, you will do a lot of damage!
The idea is to do more damage without having as much exposure since Nu Wa is very squishy, we would enter the teamfight if necessary.
You can also replace one of the items with a glyph, which will probably do more damage but in this case I prioritized the cooldow, you choose!
You can obviously mix the items, for example, a good mix is Sacrificial Shroud with Book of Thot. These builds are thought just for the synergy (according to me) that the items can have, but you can mix them as you want!
To finish this mini guide: the whole idea is focused on making a kind of "accumulated damage" (if we can call it that way), where the ultimate will shine.
An ultimate as strong as Nu Wa's where she becomes invulnerable, gives visibility of enemies and a hit that can't be dodged in general lines, you have to get the most potential out of it and that's what I try to explain in these builds.
I hope you like it, try it and leave me your feedback, recommendations, changes and your experience with it. As I say, everyone should have a different playstyle and you can adapt this build to your playstyle.
