Odin is a tank, do remember that when reading my build here.
Odin is not a AD carry as most would like to believe. He excels in tanking more so than attack damage could ever take him
Odin's Skill are in the panels above, if you want to know about a skill just mouse over said skill.
The items I have chosen are a nice hybrid of both Tank and slight Attack Damage/Support.
First off, I believe a Set of Reinforced boots with a Level 1 Hide along with some Health Potions make a good start. Lots of Regen and survivability.
Then when the Universes' stars align, and you have the needed cash, upgrade your boots to a level three straight away. While refilling Health pots, or you can get a little crazy and purchase Mana Pots.
After farming some more and you have some left over cash, purchase a Level 2 Hide and a level 1 Voidblade (Which is the AD/Support item). This gives you both health and that little bit of Damage needed at this stage. Alternate Hide Void until Max Hide is purchased and Level 2 Void-Blade.
Then Alternate Magi Blessing (Cheap Linken's) and Void till both are Level 3. At this point it is fairly late game, so either get a stone of Gaia or a nice Gauntlet of Thebes (9001 HPS) and then any luxury item to end with. I personally end the game before this stage, but a Girdle is nice to have.
The game should be over by now, however the last item should not matter all that much. More health if you want to tank even more, however a Devourer's Glove is great for the AD it gives you.
The Skill Build above allows for a nice Physical Resistance while still giving nice Utility for your allies.
This build is intended for a Duo-Lane with perhaps a Jungler *cough* Kali *cough* . After your ultimate is up you should have the means to both initiate, trap, aid a team-mate, and survive for each gank/encounter.
Use your Q (Pounce) to clear out a group of arrow minions. (Once it is level 3, 4 ideally) It is also a great escape tool, lead your followers into a creep camp and simply jump through the wall opposite to the entrance. Bam, you are home free.
Take note that While the E is a great slow it removes your Physical Protection allowing the enemy to focus fire you down faster.
Odin is really lacking in the killing department (With this build that is), so team work and communication go hand in hand with a happy Odin.
Be sure to alert your team of overpushed lanes, and send a message if your ultimate is up and ready to kill.
This is obviously only one way out of thousands you can play Odin, but it has worked well for me in my Smite career.
Of course you are free to voice your opinions, but if you try to just make rude comments with no un-biased evidence proving your statement (or disproving mine) I will ignore it.
Thank you for your time and may your battles go well.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
