Either Vibrant or sturdy depends on the match for me lots of cc sturdy if not the other one!
Final item kind of depends if your winning I like to go titans or heart seeker as final item once again.
If they are a tough/tanky physical team I go shifters. if they are magical based i go Oni Hunter's Garb. or both lol.
I like to max 1 but maxing 3 is ok to do. maxing 1 helps you poke and secure kills running away from you. to each their own.
Not much to say just alternative items! You may need anti heal or anti tank options and even 2 other relic choices.
Pele, the Goddess of Volcanoes, is a powerful melee assassin known for her high burst damage, mobility, and sustain. Her kit allows her to dive into the backline, eliminate squishy targets, and escape or re-engage in fights. Mastering Pele requires understanding when to engage, how to utilize her sustain, and capitalizing on her ability to punish enemies who overextend. She's a bit weak early in my opinion! But with good ganks and leveling up she bevomes a power house and in my opionion an underrated 'snowball' pick.
You can even pick up Shifters and Shoguns Kusari and fill a slight tank role.
Ive played Smite since beta!! Atleast 1,190 hours of game play time across pc and consoles as of today!
Decent amount of hours but by no means a pro or high level.
My builds are by no means for competitive play I play lots of casual matches!!
You must take personal responsibility! You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.
God's I REALLY Like Playing: Chaac, Ah Muzen Cab, Chiron, Cerberus, Sylvanas, Terra, ISIS (OR ESET), Scylla, Raijin, Mercury(not as much anymore), Fafnir, Skadi, Geb, Nut, Arachne, Kali, Medusa, Thoth,

Core Build Explanation
Bumba’s Spear (Starter Item):
Stats: 65 Physical Power, 10% Physical Penetration, 10% Movement Speed, 10% Cooldown Reduction.
Passive: After defeating an enemy god or jungle monster, gain a buff that increases your damage dealt and provides additional healing. This passive is excellent for Pele’s playstyle, allowing her to sustain and deal more damage during extended engagements. The cooldown reduction and movement speed make it easier for her to chain abilities and reposition in fights.
Jotunn’s Vigor:
Stats: 50 Physical Power, 150 Mana, 10 Penetration, 20% Cooldown Reduction.
Passive: When you drop below 40% health, gain increased lifesteal and ability lifesteal for 5 seconds. This item enhances Pele’s already strong sustain, making her even more dangerous when low on health. The cooldown reduction is crucial for spamming abilities, while the extra penetration helps against tankier opponents.
Arondight:
Stats: 55 Physical Power, 10% Cooldown Reduction, 10% Physical Penetration.
Passive: After using your ultimate, your next damaging ability or basic attack within 8 seconds deals additional damage. This item is a perfect fit for Pele, whose ultimate is often used to initiate or finish fights. The bonus damage can help you secure kills, and the additional cooldown reduction allows for more frequent usage of her abilities.
Serrated Edge:
Stats: 25 Physical Power, 10% Lifesteal, 20% Physical Penetration.
Passive: For each ability on cooldown, gain a percentage increase in physical lifesteal and movement speed. Serrated Edge synergizes well with Pele’s kit, as she relies heavily on her abilities in quick succession. The lifesteal helps her sustain during fights, while the penetration makes her a threat to even the most armored targets.
The Crusher:
Stats: 40 Physical Power, 15% Attack Speed, 15 Physical Penetration.
Passive: Abilities deal additional damage over time to enemies hit. The Crusher’s passive is a strong complement to Pele’s burst damage, applying additional pressure to enemies. The attack speed allows for faster basic attacks between abilities, enhancing her overall damage output.
Heartseeker:
Stats: 75 Physical Power, 10% Physical Penetration.
Passive: Abilities deal bonus damage based on the target’s max health. This item is key for melting high-health targets, especially tanks. The combination of Heartseeker with Pele’s ability to deal high burst damage ensures that no enemy is too tough to handle.
Alternative Items
Depending on the match and enemy composition, you may want to consider these alternative items:
Bloodforge:
Stats: 75 Physical Power, 15% Lifesteal.
Passive: Killing an enemy god grants a shield and increases movement speed. Bloodforge is a great option for snowballing, giving Pele more survivability after securing kills and allowing her to chase down other targets or escape.
Brawler’s Beat Stick:
Stats: 40 Physical Power, 15 Physical Penetration.
Passive: Enemies hit by your abilities have reduced healing. This item is essential against teams with strong healing or lifesteal. It ensures that Pele’s burst can stick, reducing the enemy’s ability to sustain through her damage.
Titan’s Bane:
Stats: 35 Physical Power, 20% Physical Penetration.
Passive: Your abilities deal more damage to enemy gods based on their protections. Titan’s Bane is ideal when facing highly armored opponents, allowing Pele to cut through even the toughest of defenses.
Mantle of Discord:
Stats: 45 Physical Protection, 45 Magical Protection, 10% Cooldown Reduction.
Passive: When you drop below 30% health, you release a shockwave that stuns enemies. This item provides a mix of defensive stats and utility, giving Pele some much-needed protections and a crowd control effect to help her escape or turn the fight when she’s low on health.
Void Shield:
Stats: 20 Physical Power, 60 Physical Protection.
Aura: Enemies within 55 units have reduced physical protections. Void Shield is a strong option if you’re dealing with physical-heavy teams, giving you extra protection while also lowering enemy defenses, making it easier to secure kills.
Magi’s Cloak:
Stats: 15 Physical Protection, 15 Magical Protection.
Passive: Absorbs a single hard crowd control effect every 70 seconds. Magi’s Cloak is a good choice if you’re being frequently locked down by crowd control, giving you more freedom to engage or escape.
Shifter’s Shield:
Stats: 35 Physical Power, 15 Physical Protection.
Passive: When above 75% health, gain additional physical power. When below 75% health, gain additional protections. This item gives Pele a balance of power and protection, making her more resilient in fights while still maintaining high damage output.
Malice:
Stats: 50 Physical Power, 25% Critical Strike Chance.
Passive: After landing a critical strike, your abilities deal bonus damage. Malice is a fun option for a more crit-focused build, adding extra burst potential to Pele’s kit and punishing enemies for getting too close.
Winged Blade:
Stats: 300 Health, 20% Crowd Control Reduction, 10% Movement Speed.
Passive: When hit by a slow, you gain immunity to slows and increased movement speed for 4 seconds. Winged Blade is a situational item that can be very effective against teams with heavy slows, giving Pele more mobility to engage or disengage as needed.
Stone Cutting Sword:
Stats: 50 Physical Power, 7% Movement Speed.
Passive: Basic attacks reduce the target’s physical protections and increase your physical protections. This item is excellent for increasing your damage and survivability in prolonged engagements, especially if you’re frequently weaving in basic attacks between abilities.
Abilities Breakdown (⓿_⓿)
Passive - Everlasting Flame:
Pele gains 10% bonus movement speed and 20% bonus lifesteal when she drops below 50% health. This passive is crucial for surviving trades and for allowing Pele to stick to her target or retreat when necessary.
Ability 1 - Pyroclast:
Pele hurls magma rocks that explode on contact, dealing damage in a small area. This ability has two charges, making it a great tool for poking or for dealing burst damage in quick succession.
Ability 2 - Eruption:
After a short delay, Pele causes a volcanic eruption at a target location, dealing damage and knocking up enemies. This ability is her primary engage tool, offering crowd control and a way to disrupt enemy formations.
Ability 3 - Magma Rush:
Pele enters a magma state, gaining movement speed and dealing damage in a small area around her. The ability can be toggled on and off, and while active, it drains mana over time. It's excellent for chasing down enemies or escaping when in danger.
Ultimate - Volcanic Lightning:
Pele dashes forward, dealing damage to all enemies she passes through. If she hits an enemy god, she can re-cast the ability two more times. This ultimate is ideal for diving the backline, executing low-health targets, or escaping a sticky situation.
Pros:
✍(◔◡◔)
High Burst Damage:
The combination of items like Arondight, Serrated Edge, The Crusher, and Heartseeker provides immense burst potential, allowing Pele to eliminate squishy targets quickly.
Sustain and Survivability:
Jotunn’s Vigor and Serrated Edge give Pele significant lifesteal and sustain, especially when she’s low on health. This helps her stay in fights longer and survive skirmishes that would otherwise be fatal.
Cooldown Reduction:
With items like Bumba’s Spear, Jotunn’s Vigor, and Arondight, this build offers substantial cooldown reduction, allowing Pele to spam her abilities more frequently and maintain constant pressure on the enemy.
Mobility:
The build enhances Pele’s natural mobility with movement speed bonuses from Serrated Edge and Bumba’s Spear. This allows for quick engages, disengages, and repositioning during fights.
Versatility:
The build can be adjusted with alternative items like Bloodforge for snowball potential or Mantle of Discord for added survivability, making it adaptable to different game scenarios and enemy team compositions.
Effective Against Tanks and Squishies:
With Heartseeker and The Crusher, the build provides a good balance of percentage-based damage and flat penetration, making Pele effective against both tanky targets and squishy backliners.
Anti-Heal Option:
Including Brawler’s Beat Stick as an alternative item provides an effective solution against teams with strong healing, ensuring Pele’s damage remains impactful.
Cons:
Reliance on Lifesteal:
The build heavily relies on lifesteal for sustain, particularly with Jotunn’s Vigor and Serrated Edge. Anti-heal items or gods with healing reduction can significantly weaken Pele’s sustain, making her more vulnerable in fights.
Squishiness:
While the build offers high damage and sustain, it lacks significant defensive stats, leaving Pele vulnerable to crowd control and burst damage if caught out of position. Items like Mantle of Discord or Magi’s Cloak can mitigate this, but at the cost of offensive potential.
Dependent on Ability Hits:
The build’s effectiveness relies heavily on landing abilities, especially for the bonuses from Arondight and Heartseeker. Missing key abilities can drastically reduce Pele’s damage output and effectiveness in a fight.
Weak Against Heavy CC:
Pele’s playstyle requires her to dive into the middle of fights, which can be dangerous against teams with strong crowd control. Without defensive items like Magi’s Cloak or Mantle of Discord, she can be easily locked down and burst before she can deal her damage.
Item-Dependent Power Spike:
Pele’s power spikes are tied to completing key items like Heartseeker and Arondight. If she falls behind early or is unable to farm effectively, she may struggle to reach her full potential in the mid to late game.
Situational Effectiveness:
The build is designed to maximize burst and sustain, but against highly mobile or elusive enemies, Pele might struggle to apply consistent pressure, especially if they can avoid her engage or kite her out.
Limited Tankiness:
The build focuses more on offensive power, meaning Pele can struggle against heavy dive or focus from the enemy team, requiring careful positioning and timing to avoid being bursted down.
Vulnerable to Peel:
Despite her mobility, Pele can be countered by enemy supports or tanks who excel at peeling for their backline, making it harder for her to secure kills or escape after engaging.
Less Effective in Prolonged Fights:
The build excels in short bursts of damage, but in extended fights where Pele’s cooldowns are exhausted, she might find herself out of options, especially if the enemy team has good sustain or healing.
Difficulty Against Certain Counters:
As detailed in the counters section, Pele can struggle against gods with strong crowd control, mobility, or long-range poke. This build, while powerful, doesn’t inherently solve these issues, requiring careful play and perhaps item adjustments.
(ʘ ʖ̯ ʘ)
Counters:
Gods that Counter Pele:
Ares:
Ares can suppress Pele's mobility and burst potential with his chains and ultimate. The combination of cripple and crowd control makes it difficult for Pele to get in and out of fights.
Kukulkan:
Kukulkan’s zoning and burst damage can keep Pele at bay. His ability to kite Pele with his slow and ultimate makes him a difficult target to engage.
Fenrir:
Fenrir’s ability to stun-lock Pele and his high burst damage make him a dangerous matchup. He can negate her mobility with his ultimate, making it tough for Pele to escape or survive his assault.
Scylla:
Scylla’s root and crush combo can punish Pele’s aggressive dives, and her ultimate can quickly eliminate Pele if she’s caught out.
Hel:
Hel’s healing and cleanse abilities can negate much of Pele’s burst and crowd control, making it tough for Pele to secure kills.
Bastet:
Bastet’s ability to jump in and out of fights, along with her consistent damage and slows, can make Pele’s life difficult.
Chronos:
Chronos’ ability to rewind time and his high mobility can make him a slippery target for Pele, negating her burst.
Ah Puch:
Ah Puch’s anti-heal and sustained damage over time can quickly wear down Pele, making her passive less effective.
Thanatos:
Thanatos can match Pele’s aggression and punish her with his silences, execute, and sustain from his passive.
Medusa:
Medusa’s petrify and high burst potential can quickly turn Pele’s dives against her, and her dash allows her to reposition effectively.
Anhur:
Anhur’s knockback and impale can interrupt Pele’s engage, and his ability to box effectively can be troublesome for her in duels.
Merlin:
Merlin’s ability to switch stances and dish out consistent damage at range can make it challenging for Pele to engage without being heavily poked.
Synergies
Yemoja:
Yemoja’s healing and crowd control can set up Pele for easy kills, while also providing sustain to keep her in the fight longer.
Athena:
Athena’s taunt can force enemies into Pele’s abilities, and her global presence allows her to support Pele’s aggressive plays.
Geb:
Geb’s shields can save Pele from being bursted down, allowing her to play more aggressively. His knock-up also synergizes well with Pele’s burst damage.
Kuzenbo:
Kuzenbo’s ability to disrupt the enemy backline can create opportunities for Pele to dive in and secure kills.
Cthulhu:
Cthulhu’s ability to cause chaos in team fights pairs well with Pele’s assassination playstyle, giving her the cover she needs to engage and disengage freely.
Nox:
Nox’s silence and root combo can lock down enemies, giving Pele an easy opportunity to dive in and burst them down.
Horus:
Horus’ global presence and healing can help Pele stay in fights longer, while his crowd control provides setup for Pele’s damage.
Chernobog:
Chernobog’s global ultimate allows him to follow up on Pele’s engages or provide vision and pressure in other lanes, helping Pele secure kills.
Khepri:
Khepri’s revive can give Pele the confidence to play aggressively, knowing she has a safety net if things go wrong.
Aphrodite:
Aphrodite’s healing and damage boost can amplify Pele’s burst potential and sustain in fights, allowing her to be even more deadly.
Sobek:
Sobek’s pluck can pull enemies into Pele’s range, setting her up for easy kills, while his peel helps keep her safe from counterattacks.
Discordia:
Discordia’s chaos and confusion in fights can create opportunities for Pele to dive and eliminate targets, while her passive provides a damage boost to Pele.
Baron Samedi:
Baron’s crowd control and healing can make it easier for Pele to engage and sustain in prolonged fights, while his ultimate can pull enemies into Pele’s damage.
Fafnir:
Fafnir’s stun and buffs can enhance Pele’s attack speed and power, making her even more dangerous during her engage.
Xing Tian:
Xing Tian’s ultimate can group up enemies, allowing Pele to dive in with her own AoE damage and pick off vulnerable targets.
These additional counters and synergies should provide more depth and options when playing Pele, whether you’re looking to avoid unfavorable matchups or seeking strong allies in your team compositions.
Summary:
This build for Pele is highly effective for players who enjoy a bursty, aggressive playstyle and can capitalize on her strengths in diving and deleting enemies quickly. It provides a good balance of damage, sustain, and mobility, making Pele a formidable force in the jungle or in solo lanes. However, the build’s reliance on lifesteal and ability hits, combined with a lack of tankiness, means it requires precise play and awareness of enemy crowd control and positioning.
For players who can master Pele’s kit and positioning, this build will allow them to dominate the battlefield. But it’s important to adapt the build based on the game’s flow and enemy composition to maximize effectiveness. Take care of yourselves internet strangers!!

Good standard build overall. That said, it looks like you overcapped % pen in your build example. I would probably switch your starter upgrade to Hammer to avoid this. Another alternative is situational, and you'd replace either Crusher or HS with other utility (BBS, Shifter's, etc.). Aron is another item you might consider switching out, but again depends on needs for the match.
