How to play Ao Kuang
I stream, and very often play Ao Kuang, ranked ===> http://twitch.tv/lokimadness
Build for midgame/lategame, farm yourself strong, be passive in lane, and get your gear and just grow strong.
Level 1 Tornados = Will damage the archers so they only have hp for 1 single auto attack.
Level 2 Tornados = It will do enough damage to kill the 3 archers.
Level 3 Tornados = Kill archers and melee, not the BIG one.
Level 4 Tornados = Kills all creeps.
What you should try is place the tornados just infront of the soilder waves and where the archers will stop and start to shoot, It is around where the enemy would exit if he just came from the jungle and got the Attack buff, on the right side.
If you are facing some god that is clearing the waves fast, and you are having problems with, then hang back at the tower, let him kill the creep waves, and you just place down the tornado just when the last of your creep dies, so the tornados will DoT will get on all of the enemy creeps, so they more and less before the creeps die before they hurt the tower.
How to go back to base, buy gear without losing lane.
When you hit level 5 you get the ulti, And when the enemy creep wave is coming, use your ultimate mid lane, it will kill all the creeps, your creep way will push towards the tower, the enemy God will be busy taking care of the creeps. Even if he plays Anhur or something that can kill all creeps in one attack, it will take so long before next creep way, that if you started recalling (at a location the enemy god will not interupt you) to base as soon as u layed down the Ultimate, you will be abel to buy gear and head back to the lane before enemys next creep wave is attacking the tower, it is REALLY close, so use your nr2 to get there faster.
Start money ==> get Warlock sash, Meditation, Aegis and 5 healing potions.
Meditation - It is something that you possible could remove from the build, but it makes u never have to care about mana, so atm Im using it.
Aegis = This is in 90% most games a good iteam to get. Some like beads, but I almost think Aegis is better in all ways, unless your entire team is dead, but then beads would not matter either.
5 Health potions, you will get hurt in the lane, this just a safety fallback, so you dont give the enemy god kills. Use them...
And if you play defensive and just farm your lane, you will be abel to stay in lane and only go back when you want to. And that should be at 2030 Gold so u can compleate and get the full Warlock sash.
If you skip the Meditation, then you can prob manage by using the ulti as I wrote above...
Winged Wand - Why no boots in my build?
*1* Well AO Kuang does his "2 skill" that gives him a speed bost temporarly.
*2* His "1 skill" is a slow,
*3* By retreating, and placing tornados on ground, will force enemy to run around or take damage, so they are not so often likely to follow for longer distances.
*4* Ao Kuang is ment to be in the back lines in a team fight, you should not be the fastest and be in the front lines, you should be in the background, or you will die, You are a glass dragon. Stay back and use your skills...
*5* The Winged Wand, I get instead of boots, is for me enough to manage without problems.
If you are against a heavy physical team then Breastplate of Valor is an extreamly nice iteam for Ao Kuang, people dont usally think about Ao, Kuangs passive, that turns 5% of his Max Mana into Magical Power. Specially if you are facing enemy that are focusing you hard, and have "Dash/jump" mechanics like, Bakasura, Anhur, Xbalanque, Sun Wukong, Loki or any other nasty physicals. So the Breastplate would give you Physical resistance, Cooldown Reduction, Mana, Focus and Magical Powers.
