So I noticed some of the builds on here for Rama are slightly unorthodox to me and I feel as if me making one may help some people and also I'd like to share my information/opinion on how to play Rama :)
Any help or suggestions much appreciated.
So, if you're new to smite, you're probably thinking, why Rama? Why make him your teams choice of Carry? Well if we weigh out the pros and cons you'll see wh
u]Pros[/u]
- Extremely high Attack Speed makes it very easy to land successfully basic attacks.
- 10/20/30% slow makes it very easy to stop a fleeing target.
- He has a very good escape paired with a cripple, so you can try and catch someone's dash and simply recall.
- His ult is great at securing kills.
Cons
- He has a very weak early game (unless you invest into a Qin's Sais) compared to other hunters like Ullr.
- His unltimate is very difficult to land and takes a lot of practice.
- His 'Roll Out' has a very long cooldown.
As you can see, his positives greatly outshine the negatives, the only issue is landing the ultimate with success, which takes a little bit of trial and error to get downs down :)
So most of the time, if you're against an ordinary comp you're going to be going with the first build; "Against Squishies".
That build works very consistently against anybody who hasn't or had built little health. The slow from Poisoned Star along with the slow from Astral Arrows is enough to successfully lock down anybody and stick to them if they try and escape.
You
You will obviously sell the Ichaival for Deathbringer last item.
The 2nd build order is just to get your stacks built and aims to the late game. You should build this if you're behind are just looking to hold to late game and should try and avoid fighting early, until you get Executioner.
This build works well early, as soon as you get Qin's Sais online you should perhaps look to fight as it gives you a very early power spike.
This build doesn't always do as well later later in the game so feel free to trade out Quins for Malice if you have trouble boxing other hunters late game :D
Essentially, max out your Astral Arrows first to clear, always levelling your ultimate when possible to gain extra ability to confirm kills. Then max out your pick me up for the increased steroid, and then roll out to finish off the ability set.
This is what most people think works best but do your own thing if you find it works better :)
Thanks for using this build, any help appreciated. Please be sure to comment any suggestions or any success you have!
I play PS4! My gamertag is Exzemplaryy !
Feel free to add me if you wanna play :)
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

Devo's is a terrible item without stacks in terms of the stats it provides. So you want to get it no later than second item. Otherwise the other hunter either has more stacks than you on either Transcendence or their devos, or they have the full efficiency of the Warrior Tabi, Ichival, Asi start. Either way you'll be too far behind in damage to box and having to rotate to fights will delay the stacks even longer making you take even longer to come online.
If you want to build Ichaival second just go Asi afterwards for lifesteal and drop some attack speed items elsewhere in the build. Like swapping Exec for Titan's Bane.
During your full build before selling Ichaival you overcap on attack speed with rama's two. It hurts his overall damage by a noticeable amount. You'll want to move one of the shuriken items to the sell instead of Deathbringer. Rushing them early on got less efficient because of the cost increases and stat debuffs.
First, hes talking about delaying Devo's, right? Likely he means Rama should get Devo's 2nd to get his power up ASAP.
Next, he's NOT talking about Devo's. Rather, the end build of the 3 items with attack speed, combined with his skill pick me up, will overcap his attack speed. Make more sense?
Edit: just checked, and only before Ichaival would be replaced with Deathbringer would his attack speed be overcapped. After Ichaival is gone, he's pushing up against the cap only when his skill and wind demon's passive is active.
