Kriega's suggestions would require you to go to the notes for each patch and scroll down to the god balance sections, or go to the Wiki and click on each separate history. That's functional, but not convenient.
And I think a blog would be less organized and presentable than how the guide format allows it. Also, a blog will eventually get buried, as they don't get refreshed when you change things. A guide is just straight up a better format for this.
In essence, this doesn't hurt anyone. It's Epic's effort, you're not being made to read it or make it. I really don't understand why people have to complain.
I found it some what time consuming to go threw all the smite patch notes fast cause loading page after page but yeah i just wanted to try something new and ill be adding the new ones that come out over time
