I'm new to the game and I'm struggling with something... In "sample build 1, I have 8 items, what should I choose over what?

The first 2 items there are starter upgrades. The last item is mentioned after Elixir of speed, so in the lategame once you’re full build buy elixir of speed and once you have enough gold sell your boots late for the last item.

Also I wouldn’t recommend Cthulhu as a Support in conquest, he’s mainly a solo laner.

Most guide creators will specify things within a build in the "NOTES" in the top right of a a list of items. However, Moreton22 has not done this.

From the jist of his guide, he has shown there are 2 starter items that you can pick between, and the first 2 items in the "sample build 1" are the upgrades from either of the starters you pick. If you went you would get , if you got you would get . So that's 1 item off but that still leaves 7.

When you get to the later stages of the game you can purchase . This grants you the same movement speed that your boots do for 1500 gold, once you have bought that item you can purchase another whole item which by the looks of it is in this case. This leaves us with the whole 6 item build.

I apologise if my guide left you with any confusion, I like to keep my guides short and sweet but I guess by doing that I am unintentionally alienating the newest of players, I will look to edit this build accordingly later when I am at my PC. I will also take this into account when making builds in the future, kriega1 & Big damage have answered the questions that you have asked so thankyou to the both of you for that.

Also Kriega1 is correct, Cthullu is definitely more of a solo laner than a Support, however that doesn't mean he isn't viable in support.
