For solo & non-conq just go tier 2 golden blade. maybe a chalice of healing.
Tap each threat level to view Arachne’s threats
Arachne has a few options for starts so this gets its own section.
Solo: Either stick some webs in your lane where the minions will meet to help with clear, put a web on your blue so that your jungler can drag the camp into it to help clear and give you xp, or go invade their speed. all are viable, up to you which you want.
Jungle: A few main options here.
1: Solo starts on blue. rush out of base, 2 webs on blue, back, 1 web on speed asap, clear speed, web and clear xp, blink on midlaner. should be first blood. if not take their red.
2: Webs on your duo side backs. gives you level 2 off of speed xp and the backs, clear blue faster than enemy, walk towards their xp camp to cut the enemy jungler off and go for the kill. OR go to their blue instead, fight there at level 2
3: 2 webs on XP, 1 on speed. clear normal path. can gank solo. wouldnt recommend this above the options above.
Arachnes level 1-3 are amazing for kill potential, this is where you should be in hyper kills mode.
1) The build i recommend in most situations. Used by most people, including the top arachne on the conquest leaderboard. Good all round, flexible, can have some items swapped out lategame without hurting your curve too much.
2) Probably what youd build outside of conquest, in solo, or if you are getting killed early game. More survivability, harder to kill tanks mostly.
3) I dont use this, but some people prefer it. not sure when id use it as i prefer the aa builds.
4) The pubstomp build of choice. worse early game, but hastened can allow you to snowball early, and also get to late faster.
ALTERNATE ITEMS AND WHEN TO USE THEM:
Ninja Tabi: alternative to warrior tabi. personal preference really, but i recommend warrior tabi.
Urchin & Mantle: When you feel you need more survivability when building down one of the squishy build paths. Build after or before runeforged hammer.
Stonecutting Sword & Hastened Katana: Mostly to sell boots for lategame. Stonecutting generally better, but hastened is good if you are struggling to finish off kills.
Bloodforge: Are you stomping? grab it lategame. if not, dont buy it.
Asi & Ichvail: New items. not sure if you want them or not yet, havent tried it too much yet. Ich seems much better from first impressions. perhaps instead of crusher???

Ichaival could be a replacement for The Crusher as well, but if that happens, I think one of either Stone Cutting Sword or The Executioner would have to be present early enough to provide some pen. Your first example build has Exe last, and that seems too late if you do this type of substitution.
Also, what about replacing Golden Blade late?
Seems good overall.
Yeah, what Kriega said, Golden Blade, when it is purchased, is purchased early in a game with the very specific intent of helping clear minions (e.g. jungle camps) more quickly. Arachne isn't the only one that needs this, but it's almost essential for her to keep up in the jungle. Unlike some other junglers that have AOE abilities or cleave basic attacks to help speed their clear, Arachne has single target only (spiders don't count). None of the abilities are burst clear either, which also hurts her clear time.
In Arena, there's only one wave, and it's shared between the entire 5 man team. Typically if you're Arachne, you're not going to be the main wave clearer, so you just skip GB in those types of modes.
Now, the reason I ask about possibly replacing GB late in a Conquest build is because its stats in general aren't all that great. 30 power is reasonable, but she probably gets plenty of AS in her other core items. Hence, the possibility of replacing it (situationally) late-game for an item with some protections, higher power, added pen, or other utility she might find helpful in that specific match. Not necessarily needed to replace (as Kriega mentions pushing waves more quickly can be very helpful), but I think it's something that can be considered.
Does this explanation help?
In arena, for fights there's better dps options, and there isn't really a part of her kit that would make it functionally decent in arena, unlike Bakasura who can benefit from Golden Blade with his ult.
