Skadi's Skill Order Notes For this Arena build, I put my priority in my furry buddy, Kaldr, as he'll not only help with killing the pushing minions, Jungle monsters, and attacking enemies, all at the cost of 0 mana, all with a rather small "Cooldown."

Afterwards, I begin to level up the rest of the abilities chronologically, with no real preference on which to level up first.

Goddess of Winter

Skadi is a Norse, Physical Ranged Hunter, who provides Crowd Control in the form of her best furry friend, Kaldr, and her slowing abilities. Skadi uses these abilities to disrupt the enemy team and slow their escape, all while dealing massive damage.

Please Keep In Mind: This guide is a WIP (Work in Progress) and I will be updating as more time goes by. I do not claim to be the best Skadi player, nor do I claim that this is the only way to play her. I highly suggest you take a look at other guides!

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good

  • High disruption potential with a long range dispatchable minion
  • An incredible amount of slowing abilities
  • High damage
  • High attack speed

The Bad

  • Somewhat long cooldowns
  • Kaldr's health regeneration
  • First ability range

The Ugly

  • No escape abilities

The Abilities

The Combo Wombos

Kaldr, Fetch

> >
This is your bread and butter combo. Striking an enemy with Piercing Cold makes them take increased damage from Kaldr, who jumps to the enemies location when Winter's Grasp is used! Following it up with Permafrost to keep the enemy from escaping quickly, and taking damage from the snowstorm it creates, can be an efficient damage dealer. Make sure to be hitting your basic attacks during this, to maximize the damage outpot.

The Playstyles

“Thus the expert in battle moves the enemy, and is not moved by him.”
― Sun Tzu, Art of War

Arena

In Arena, the art of the Hunter is quite simple. While getting kills is the optimal path to victory, the Hunter should take time to focus on the smaller things; The Minions. Clearing enemy waves of Minions from reaching your portal, while pushing your own can genuinely make or break a game.

The other big investment are the Jungle Monsters on either side of the stage. While they are always grabbed early game, most teams tend to forget about them later on, which is precisely where you come in. You should be clearing the Jungle Monsters on both sides, to not only deny the enemy team from getting Power-Ups, but to also provide your team with some much needed buffs.

Before big fights occur, let Kaldr regain health before sending him to poke at the back line. This is best done from a position that the enemy can't keep track of you, as sending him down the front line gives everyone on the enemy team access to killing him before he even gets a swipe on his target.

During big fights, do your best to avoid Guardians and high-health Warriors. Instead, focus more on the Mages, Hunters, and especially the Assassins.
