I feel as though Sobek seems to have been neglected after the supposed "nerf", so I feel it's about time I showed people a build that I use. He's pretty tanky and you can easily get kills if you know how to play Sobek well enough (of course that can be argued for a lot of characters but Sobek works differently in those scenarios IMO). From my experience, it works extremely well and it's a good side lane build that lets you survive ganks and team fight often. The other funny thing about the "nerf" that you can no longer charge through minions has a pretty good benefit to it as well. Sometimes your opponents feel pretty confident standing behind 3 archers, kill em off and pull em back, at low levels they should die about 90% of the time, they wont be able to do anything about the onslaught of friendly creeps that are about to massacre them.
The hand of the gods at the start can give you an advantage in levels (or at least keep you at par) with your opponents in the lane. This will also give you some pretty good buffs that can keep you in the fight longer, getting you more experience and even some good amounts of gold.
Now I know you're thinking as to why I would start with stone of gaia. Well there are ways of going about the build. A lot of the time, it depends on who's in your lane, and which one of your opponents is giving you the hardest time in your lane. If you have more troubles with mages than you do with physicals, then it's a good idea to start with sovereignty first. The thing is though, only stone of gaia and sovereignty are interchangeable. The reason stone of gaia is a must as your second or third item is that it increases your lane time massively. The HP5 and the MP5 will help you stay in lane with a ton of health and some good mana regen, if you feel as though creeping curse is something you should get earlier, by all means do so. The earlier you get your kills the better. On the other hand, if you feel as though you're confident without creeping curse, you can get other abilities like sprint or meditation which can help you get kills much more easily or stay in lane even longer. Of course if you're dealing with a full magical lane, I suggest that you go stone of gaia then void stone, it's going to help you defensively and with some of the power you may lack. Even so, you can change chronos pendant or rod of tahuti with obsidian shard or pythagorem's piece. This could buff your team more or if you're laning against a tank you can penetrate that armour of his (armour because I'm Canadian, no spelling mistake here XD).
This build lets you tank like a beast, even if you only have 4 tank items. Your main purpose with this build is to always play aggressively and initiate asap. You possess buffs that will have a positive effect on your team and a negative one on the other. Your team has a good chance to go in with +30 Physical protection while debuffing the other team with -30 Magical protection. You can easily pair up with other mages and assassins real easy with this build, even then, with just Sobek. This build can even allow you to solo the Gold Fury as long as you have the Fire Giant buff, which if the other team is too slow to think that a Sobek can kill the Gold Fury on his own, then you can pretty much give some other benefits to your team. All in all, it really depends if you're into being the person to initiate.

I do feel like it needs more color, pics or something like that to make it easyer to read.
Secondly some info on how you use the abilities when using this build would be nice, not just the pull.
and I also noticed this while reading:
If you have more troubles with mages than you do with physicals, then it's a good idea to start with sovereignty first.
I think you got confused there ;p
keep it up man
