You are here because you want to know how to play the Croc. Sobek is currently, and will remain one of the best gods to play in the Support role. Sobek has a ton utility in his kit, and provides extreme CC in his kit. Sobeks signature pluck is the star of this guide. You are usually going to play Sobek when your comp has high burst potential. You will be looking to pluck someone with Charge Prey who is either out of position for a free kill, or you will be blink plucking someone who thinks they are safe. Lets face it if there is a blink Sobek running around the field nobody is safe. The nice thing about Sobek is if you whiff the pluck (which is going to happen at some point or another, for x reason) Your second ability Tail Whip is an AoE knock up, giving you breathing room when you mess up, and a chance to either walk away for free, or gives you time to go into your ultimate Lurking In The Waters, which is a cc immune massive AoE circle that slows the enemy! Recently Sobek took a nerf because they were not okay with him taking favorable trades against enemy backliners, as Sobek had the burst potential to one shot the enemy! However as we have come to find out that nerf did not change that potential, if you find yourself under the enemy back liners, you are in control of that fight, and you are to be feared, if you let your ult fully charge you will will do massive amounts of damage, and set yourself up for the easiest pluck of your life, and if they are not dead by that point, your third ability Sickening Strike does a massive amount of damage in a very easy to hit cone! Not to mention your 3 also comes with built in Anti-Heal! What a score.
The only time it is really scary to play Sobek is when the enemy has an easy way to apply the cc "cripple". This makes you unable to use your mobility moves such as your signature pluck. Always be sure to double check your enemy team to know when, and who has a form of cripple as this can be a game changing move for the enemy team if they catch us slacking off. For example Poseidon's 3 will lay a big AoE circle on the map, but that circle is also a cripple so if you were to pluck into it, you would stop the moment your toes touched the edge.
