Okay, so I recently reached X on Sylvanus and right now I think he's the best support in the game, his control is unreal both in lane early game and in time fights to screw up the positioning of the enemy ADC. The Build I favour aims to exploit Sylvanus' utility over his tankiness, and although you will still be tanky as hell, if your looking for a damage sponge, pick up Athena or Geb.
Essential on Sylvanus for two reasons:
1)Lotus Crown gives 20 of each protection to ANYONE that you heal, obviously an incredibly strong item on an AOE healer, in this regard the item comes into its own late game, if you're playing with an aggressive assassin like Bakasura then giving him the protections before he jumps in can be incredibly strong.
2)Sylvanus' heal already grants 25 protections to whoever you heal and giving even more protections to a potential 4 team-mates is potentially game changing in the midst of a team fight.
