For your actives start with Heavenly Wings and then buy either another team fight active, or a Belt of Frenzy
Sylvanus is one of those gods that fly under the radar for most players because he does not have the most exciting kit, and he can feel a bit immobile, and slow. Let me break down for you how to use this god, and what to watch out for when playing him.
Sylvanus' passive is an RnG passive that plays off of enemies that basic attack him. There is a 25% while basic attacking Sylv that he will root you in place. This passive can only happen once every 12 seconds, and it is purely RnG for when it will proc. Compared to other support passives, this would rank pretty low in efficiency, and usefulness.
As far as his kit, starting with his first ability Verdant Growth you send forward a plant that if struck by will cause you, or minions to take damage, and be rooted in place. If the plant does not hit anything, it will be planted in the ground, and sprout into a flower that provides your team standing in it with MP5. Very useful for the laning phase, you can only have 3 plants out on the field at a time. You will see some Sylvanus load into a game, and then go to another lane first and drop their plant off for his teammate there, then rotate back to his starting position. If the plant is popped by an enemy it will explode with an AoE effect that will reduce enemy protections if hit. For his second ability Sylvanus is one of the few supports that have a built in heal. Sylvanus 2 Wisps is a massive AoE circle that heals any teammate that is standing near him when this is casted, and also provides them with protections, any enemy hit will take dot (damage over time) damage. The third ability Nature's Grasp is a root that will pull in any god that is hit with it. This ability is pretty tricky to hit, it also works through walls as well for some possible out play potential. Finally we have his ultimate Wrath of Terra. Sylvanus plants his feet into the ground and knocks up any enemies in the circle for a short time and applying damage over time to them.
