benevolence is a no brainer for supports currently as the gold and experience it generates for your ADC is incredible the iron mail will lead into sovereignty which severely hampers early game damage from the enemy and the hand of gods is needed to help clear the support buff at the same time as your ADC finishes red buff so you can meet them at purple
this is the best defensive build I have found on Sylvanus as the stones give equal protections (except for void but let's get real it's the mages that hurt the most so it's good to have) and mantle of discord can help you avoid getting insta gibed by getting CCD at the start of a team fight and compassion is great to take some hits for the team even if it isn't as much as just body blocking whoever is dishing it out and for the relics meditation clock is very valuable for team fights and thorns is going to be you're top DPS
depending on whos doing the life steal swap mantle of discord for either of these
swap mantle of discord for spectral armor if the enemies are able to burst you down with crit before you can impact a team fight
maxing out verdant growth first is imperative to being able to help your team as it can lock a squishy in place and remove there protections and don't ever be afraid to use it just for the mp5 as Sylvanus tears through his mana in the early and mid-game
wisps get maxed second as the burn damage is more than most realize and the healing is incredible sustain
nature's grasp is third because the only thing gained by leveling it up is reduced cost and shorter cool down but there's a reason that's the only change because this can make getting your team a kill very easy and can even save your team if the enemy is too far for you to body block just grab them and stun them giving your teammate time to retreat
as Sylvanus you are going to want to stay near your team but still be in front of them you have ranged auto attacks use them if you don't need to get near the enemy don't but also don't hang behind you're teammate there going to be counting on you to soak hits for them heal when you're team has taken damage not just yourself and use your ultimate to break up enemy formations if they're grouped up and doing high single target damage make yourself the target and knock them all up if some ones running away use your root and pull to let your team secure the kill
if you are near one of your teams DPS characters or you're under tower use natures grasp and immediately follow it up with verdant growth wait for the root to run out and follow it up with wrath of terra and wisps this combo can be resource-intensive from the mana cost and high cooldowns but it almost guarantees a kill if you DPS lands there hits on a mostly still target

Starting
For your actives:
You start with meditation cloak I know it got buffed and I know its better than it was, its still a bait item. It does exactly what it did before. It lets you coast through the early game, and helps in the mid game but unless you snowball this item turns useless by 20mins. Its still affected by Anti-Heal items and since you're playing Sylv every player with a brain is going to get an Anti-Heal item just for your

This is the best start as of right now IMO.
