Overview of Terra (Stats, Pros/Cons)

PROS


Excellent Peel and Crowd Control
Has Area of Effect Healing
Spawns Three Monoliths that are versatile with Support, Offensive, and Defensive Capabilities
A ultimate that heals allies who takes hits and speeds them up.

CONS


Moderate Health for a Guardian.
Mediocre Engaging
Needs to set up for her CC.
Does not have the Guardian's High Base Damage.
Ultimate is almost useless to squishy teammates in the late game

Terra's Abilites

Passive-Standing Stones



Terra's abilities slowly creates Standing Stones when Terra hits a enemy god with her abilities. If Terra is standing near a Monolith that's on the field Terra gains immediate use of the passive; Standing Stones makes her immune to knockups and her basics slow and deal bonus damage. If Terra decides to shatter any standing stone, she gains an additional 3 seconds to this buff.


Ability 1 (Offense): Force of Nature



Terra charges forward and damages enemy gods she comes across. She may also shatter a Standing Stone by dashing in it to gain a additional dash for 3 seconds. If she shatters more than 1 stone, she does not gain any extra dashes after the first is shattered.

Ability 2 (Defensive/Offensive): Crushing Earth




Terra summons two walls that stand across from each other in a target location. Enemies between these walls are slowed by 20%. Terra may reactivate this ability to crush the walls together and stun any enemy god that was hit by the walls. She may also use Force of Nature and dash into one of these walls and damage enemies in a cone in front of her, but cannot reactivate this ability for the remainder duration of the wall.


Ability 3 (Versatile): Monoliths



Terra summons a monolith (this ability activates her passive Standing Stones) that heal allies for 5/10/15/20/25 HP in the area around the monolith every 0.5 seconds for 10 seconds. Terra can use Force of Nature and shatter the monolith, while losing it's healing it instead roots enemies inside of the area for 1.5 seconds and dealing 15/20/25/30/35 damage per 0.5 seconds for the remainder of the Monolith's lifespan.


Ultimate (Support):Terra's Blessing



Terra channels her energy to all of her allies. Granting them increase movement speed,reducing mana costs, increase cooldown reduction, and if they're hit four times grants them a burst of healing; that heals 100/200/300/400/500 HP.

Why buy these Items?

: Breastplate of Valor is a great item to get early on especially in Conquest due to the massive physical boost and good mana you get out of it.

Lotus Crown is often a forgotten item in many healers of SMITE, but today a guardian that has healing that's not Slyvanus? Well, Terra actually works quite well with these protections. During a fight your team would retreat to a monolith to get some of that delicious healing before going back to the fray. Lotus Crown allows them to take hits better while ensuring the survival of your ADC or Mage by huddling them around your Monolith.

Hide of the Nemean Lion can help against Hunters with crit items plus lifesteal. Because 20% of the damage is returned, lifesteal is little to nothing when it comes to being auto attacked by a hunter. If they're lifesteal is lower than 20% then watch them start losing health instead of healing. IT also gives you (I think) the highest physical protections any other item can give you tied with Spectral Armor.

Hide of the Urchin is one of the best defensive items in the game. Getting it early is crucial to get your late game protections that this baby gives. While not much giving 35 protections it'll quickly add up once you start getting assists. Giving 3 protections per assist for 10 assists. Doing the math you get +30 protections, plus the 35 you already have this equals to a total of 65 protections. Something only Mantle of Discord can even get close to getting. Plus with the health and mana boost, this item should not be overlooked for guardians at all.

One of the best options for protections, Mantle of Discord is a amazing choice when it comes to getting protections after getting any health necessary for Terra due to her mediocre health, however the passive allows her to be in the thick of the fight. Due to the passive stunning any enemy gods around her for 1 second. This combine with her monolith root helps her lock down the enemy team easily.

Pestilence is a great choice for any of those pesky healers like Aphrodite or Chang'e. A great Anti-heal item with 80 protections and a boost in health this should not be overlooked when counter building healers.

One of the best magical defense item in the game. The health while being the same as pestilence and the protections are 20 less then pestilence. It's it passive that makes it a viable item. When reaching 20% of your health, you gain a shield that is 150+10 per level. This shield can give you 350 extra HP in a shield that can crucial to your survival. Overall it's a good item that shouldn't be overlooked.

Probably the only boot choice you should ever get on a guardian. It allows your abilities to come off of cooldown quickly.

A decent item for some magical protection. While giving some protections to others around you. It's good.

In the future, I will have tips for Terra. As of now, I have no tips for new players yet. I'll update this guide in a week probably.

Tips on playing Terra

Anti-engage

Terra excels at counters engaging due to her healing. IF a enemy assassin decides to go ham, like Bakasura who jumps on your ADC. Raise a Monolith next to your ADC to keep them healthy while fighting the assassin. Once your able to reach the monolith dash into it to root Bakasura then follow it up with Crushing Earth and stun the assassin. This will ensure the death of the assassin, while your ADC still lives.


Never underestimate the Monolith in the laning phase


One common mistake when people engage on Terra early on is that they ignore the Monolith area zone, the Monolith provides Terra with everything she'll need. Because of the root and area damage she has when she dashes into the Monolith. She can adjust the fight to her liking. Once they engage, raise your Monolith to keep you and your ADC healthy. Once you think you healed enough, dash into the Monolith and root and deal damage over time with the Monolith shattered. Follow it up on the Crushing Earth on the ADC and watch your ADC shred through them.

Heal up whenever Out of Combat.


During the laning phase. If everything calms down, raise a monolith a little out of dangers way and heal up. This helps with your lane sustain though your mana will still suffer. Be wise how you use the Monolith early on. Heal when necessary and never engage early on. As I said Terra is not the best at engaging fights, though she excels at turning enemy engages against them. However your mana will really suffer early on, don't engage unless your absolutely sure you'll either force a back or get a kill.
