Aggressive Mid Approach
If confident with Tiamat or believed to be a good match up in favour of her an aggressive approach can be taken. Tiamat's 1 not only provides good clear throughout the duration of the match but also provides a good early game damage output.
Start the game by trying to hit as many of the projectiles on the enemy mid laner as well as clearing the wave. This could result in a kill which will allow an early advantage or could end up with the enemy mid laner needing to be more passive and sit far back costing them the extra farm available to mid laners.
NOTE:- If early pressure is achieved look for an opportunity to combine with your jungler and kill the enemy jungler when mid white camps inevitably get contested.
Careful Mid Approach
If new to the god or if it is believed to be a bad match up for Tiamat a more careful approach can be taken. Tiamat's 1 can be used to clear a large proportion of the waves health and combined with her 2 on the archer minions and auto attacks on the front minions can allow Tiamat to continuously farm and stay up to speed with the enemy mid laner. Attempt to take mid white camps whenever possible and utilise support and ganks from your jungler to get ahead of your enemy.
Tiamat's diverse kit allows her to be a difficult opponent to predict.
Melee Form
She can go into melee form for situations where there is a large brawling situation and Tiamat isn't in huge danger of being caught out by large damaging abilities.
The melee forms knock up ability is useful for delaying both enemy gods trying to run from the fight or trying to chase Tiamat when trying to escape or any other teammates at risk.
The leap phase transition ability can also be used to dodge a range of enemy abilities from Cthulhu's stun ability or many other CC abilities granting Tiamat advantages in fights and higher survivability.
Ranged Form
Tiamat's ranged form is useful for situations where perhaps a less direct approach is preferred such as against high CC melee gods such as Cabrakan.
If properly aimed Tiamat's 2 can be used to stun enemy gods setting them up to be dived on by your solo laner or jungler.
Tiamat's 1 provides a high damage output which can take out sizeable proportions of enemy god's health and assist in killing or killing them herself.
Ranged Form Ultimates
Due to the complexity of Tiamat's Ultimate in ranged form it will have its own section.
The first of Tiamat's ultimates spawn several waves of minions which come in pairs both taking two separate hits to take down. This ability is useful for when rotation is needed but you don't want to lose the wave, the ultimate can be utilised to provide an advantage to you wave and take your focus elsewhere. This ultimate can also be used to damage towers for more than just a minion wave can achieve without needing Tiamat to be present freeing her up to go farm camps or assist on other lanes.
The second form of Tiamat's ultimate spawns a creature to guard to area this can be used to create a distraction to divert the focus of enemy god making them more vulnerable to ganks or other abilities.
The third form of Tiamat's ultimate spawns a mini tornado which tracks enemy gods and damages then for its duration, at the end of the abilities duration any gods still within the range of the tornado will be knocked up and thrown making them vulnerable. This ability is best utilised for chasing enemies who are about to enter towers or phoenix's and are on very low health or alternatively in team fight situations where it can get a high damage return as enemy gods are distracted dealing with your team.
