Hi everybody, My name is Trevor (RS Duce) and this is my new Ra build that I have been working with for quite some time now. . So far I have had great success with this build. This is my take on a Ra utility build(it's all the rage now). All comments are welcome. I will be updating this build every month so keep up to date on any changes.
This is what you want to get to start off the game based on the items you will build into. Vampiric Shroud is a no brainer and is a auto buy. You then want to buy Restored Artifact to build into Chronos' Pendant later in the game. With the remaining 100g, buy one Heath Pot and one Mana Pots. You will have quite a bit of early sustain and should be able to win the lane early with your wave clear and positioning.
Every time Ra uses an ability, his movement speed is increased.
This passive is great if you use it correctly. The passive stacks up to three times(3 abilities), giving you an increased movement speed of 18%(6% per stack). That will allow you to get out of most situations in a jiffy. Ra doesn't really have a true escape so you do still have to watch out for ganks. If you place your wards though, the increased movement speed will help you get into a better position for the gank though.

Good luck with the updates!
Thank you for the feedback. I 100% agree with you about the penetration, it is a must. I will update my list with the recommendations as soon as I get a couple of min. I love your Isis build BTW.
A quote from prof. proxy
The default magical protections on mages is 30 at all levels. Every other class has 48 default magical protections at level 20 (all starting with the base 30). Without any penetration, you'll be dealing significantly lower amounts of damage not only to heavy classes like warriors and guardians, but also hunters, assassins and other mages as well. Ever since Shoes of the Magi's penetration was nerfed, penetration has become all the more important. If the enemy mage simply buys a Void Stone, you'd be dealing almost 50% less damage while taking around 85% of the damage they deal. Any tanks on their team would feel this effect even greater, receiving closer to only 15% of the damage you deal with high protections. I would HIGHLY recommend adding some penetration into your build, it will benefit your damage output far better than some of the damage items you have choosen (most notably Doom Orb). I would recommend either Spear of the Magus for teams with lower magical defense or Obsidian Shard for teams with higher defenses.
Finally, my only other criticism is that Hide of the Urchin probably isn't Ra's best defensive option. While its protections are considerable, you're still not going to be able to tank a whole lot of damage, and by late game enemies will easily be able to shred 65 protections. You're probably better off with an item that will help you get out of dangerous situations more easily like Winged Blade or Magi's Blessing ( Winged Blade also gives CDR which is nice). Aside from that, your guide is decent, the items section and pros/cons are good. Your skills section would be better if you included stuff about the skills rather than their in game descriptions since anyone can glean that just from hovering over Searing Pain. (this is done by putting around the words Searing Pain if you didn't know, you can also do icons like the one below that let you hover over as well).
I will say though that I like the feel of this guide and your puns are quite admirable :D
