Ullr is an amazingly fun God to use, but he is difficult to get good with. His 4 move changes his stance from using his bow to using his axes. This means he really has 6 moves compared to the normal God's 4 moves. He isn't the God you should use if you're trying to learn how to play smite, but if you are looking for a rewarding challenge, he is the God for you. There is nothing better than chasing someone down with Ullr, or escaping a dangerous situation. He is the most fun I have playing in the hunter role.
Pros
6 moves, two pokes, two buffs, a root, and a leap
He has great potential to hunt down and pursue, as well as escape
His 4 move gives him natural attack speed buff as it is leveled.
Very rewarding, because of the skill shots required to be good with him
Cons
He has no "Finisher" style move like most Gods.
Because of his 6 abilities he is manna hungry
It is difficult to get used to switching back and forth between stances
Some of his moves are difficult to land
As far as skills go, Your priority should be 4,1,3,2. It is tempting to want to upgrade the 2 first because of the buff to your basic attack speed, but this isn't really the right choice. You won't be super powerful till more late game anyways, so it is better to get the most bang for your buck by giving more power to your 1 & 3. By the time you are leveling your 2, it will be worth it. 1 & 3 have good damage and poke potential in your bow stance, and they are a root and a leap in your ax stance. They are the most essential in early game play.
When I play Ullr, I let other people make mistakes. Start conservative and only be aggressive if the enemy leaves themselves open. Get used to switching back and forth between your stances rapidly and landing moves. Sticking a root, switching to bow and hitting them with a 1 has major damage potential. They will then run away and you can switch back to ax, leap towards them, switch back to bow and hit them with your 3. All the while landing any basic attacks you can in the midst of the battle. Don't overextend yourself until you are able to box. Not until you have life-steal and Quinn's should you even think about boxing people by yourself. You are squishy, so poke, poke, poke, and if they decide to stay out at low health, then make a judgement call on whether you want to go for the kill or not. Late game, you can be much more aggressive, because you you have great escape and chase down potential as well as boxing potential. There aren't many God's that can take down a good Ullr build and player in the late game.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
