Horus Build

General

Notes For this build, I am mainly focusing on the main 3 items of the build.
Gauntlet of thebes, almost always good for any support.
Gladiator Shield, allows Horus to build full defense, and still have an offensive threat.
Caduceus shield, even split defense and slight power bonus. Defense adds to the glad shield. And a bonus to his healing. Just a really good item for Horus

Horus uses his wings to create an updraft around himself, knocking nearby enemies into the air.

Using the currents from the updraft, Horus' next Basic Attack within 5s will create a gust of wind that travels forward, damaging enemies and slowing them for 2.5s. This attack cannot crit. Enemies that are knocked up when hit take bonus damage.

Horus dashes forward a short distance, ready to strike with his weapon. If Horus hits a god he stops and stuns the god for 1.25s. He will then wind up a heavy cleave. Enemies hit have their Protections reduced for 3s.

Horus sends a mirror image of himself into the sky that scouts for a location to fly to. Upon selecting a ground location, Horus will begin to channel for 2s. Allies near Horus after these 2 seconds are flown to the location Horus' image chose. Horus and his allies land with such force, enemies take damage and are knocked away from the landing location. Horus and his allies at the landing location gain a protective shield for 4s.

Damage: 150 / 250 / 350 / 450 / 550 (+80% of your Physical Power)

Recap and Explanation

This is a very rough guide. Mainly just because I wanted to update the previous Horus Guide that I made. Most of the gameplay and basic ideas are the same. But, the boots being removed and glad shield rework changed how some things work.

This is basically an introductive framework on how to build Horus. Nobody should claim that there is only one way to build any god in this game. If you aren't paying attention to what the opponent is playing, or what they are building, its a good chance that you will lose majority of the higher level games.

Hope this small guide helps anyone decide to play one of my favorite gods.

Hello.

What this build for? Is that conquest support or for other modes? Because i see no any starting item. If you wanna build something instead of default start item you probably do not wanna die in any chance to not lose farming and play very safe. But then why you build Mystical Mail? Horus gona risk with that item, while he would preffer to stat backline, especially with Gauntlet of Thebes, that needs time to get defence. With that start pick i see very big defence falling at begining and safety requirements, so instead of leveling 1-2 for locking down they will max 3, where caduceus shield would very strong with prioritized Protector's Surge.

At the other hand, if you build Mystical Mail for aggression that Horus can provide as solo-like support, then you def do not needs Gauntlet of Thebes overall because it needs time to get online and all this time Horus will needs CDR, which Breastplate of Valor good in.

Currently this build looks very late game, and Horus will not be able to do something until he gets Gladiator's Shield

I do not want to say this build is wrong. Items are very good with Horus: caduceus shield is Horus core item, Mystical Mail fits very good with Genji's Guard in team fights, where Horus will get bunch magical damage, that will reduce his Long cooldowns. Gauntlet of Thebes gives him a chunk of defence later, Gladiator's Shield is increasing his ability damage based at this massive defence pool. Only Mantle of Discord are the only strange here, since it is supposed to be item for squishy.

I have a questions only to order of items and which situation this build will work for and at what stages of match.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
