Hello.
This is a detailed guide for Vulcan.
When i play Vulcan, he is a magical tank, who can easily zone people, deal tons of dammage and survive even the hardest teamfights!
The guide is not all done yet, but i puplished it now, to get some feedback for the final guide.
Give me some comments please :)
Please note that this guide is made for conquest only, it can be used for domination, but it is not suited for arena.
Vulcans skills is what makes him so fun to play!
In this section i will explain what his abilities do, and how i prefer to use them.
forge is his passive; Vulcan transfer 20% of his protections and 20% of his health to his turrets. in addition his turrets are healed for 3% og their max health when he stands close to them.
This is one of the reasons that i like to build vulcan tanky, with his passive his turrets will be so strong, that its not even worth it for the enemies to destroy them.
Backfire is his 1st skill; It does dammage in a line, and knocks Vulcan back.
This skill is the reason that vulcan can kite around almost any god. you can run away, and then simply turn around to deal some dammage and knock your self even further away from your enemy. it can also be used as a gap closer, but you wont deal any dammage if you do so.
I also like to finish off kills with this skill.
Inferno Cannon is Vulcans 2nd skill; You place a turret that fires at a nearby enemy. This is my favorite skill with Vulcan. if it is placed so it atacks an enemy champion, it will focus this champ until he is out of range. It also stacks with magical power and inherits Vulcans magic penetration.
Thumper XVI is his 3rd skill; You place a turret that slows and deals dammage around it self.
This contributes to Vulcans kiting ability, you simply place this to slow your enemy all the time, while you knock your self away with your 1st skill.
Volcanic Overdrive is his 4th skill; When you activate it, you get movement speed and massive protection stats. your 2nd skill also fires in a 360 degree angle now.
This skill is really nice, and alot of people dont see the strenght it has. when you activate this with a tanky build, you simply wont take any dammage. The movement speed is both good for getting away and chasing enemies.
Building Vulcan right is very important. In each game you have to figure out if the enemies deal mostly magical og physical dammage. Then you main your protection against this.
If the enemy has like a very feed ADC, you would prefer to build some more physical protection early on.
I like to build Reinforced Boots as my first item. it gives you some basic protections that you need, and the crowd control reduction is very important when playing a tanky role.
Mystical Mark is always my second item. Because of Vulcans kiting potential this free AOE dammage is very important for him, not to mention the defensive stats that it grants.
You dont have to build Obsidian Shard as your 3rd item, but i do recommend it, since the penetration will work with your turrets too.
Sometimes i like to build Bulwark of Hope, because Vulcan is soo tanky the passive will always be there for you when you need it, which is most likely if the enemies catch you off position, and all focus you. with this item you might be able to escape theese situations.
The last 4 items are mostly basic tanky items, which you choose depending on the enemies.
Let me know if you want me to tell more about the Items that i use :)
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
