This is an uncompleted guide this build is final and ready so please don't discriminate my guide while it's during development. Thank You.
Welcome to my 2nd week favorite build that is Zeus. This is 2nd part out of my six part series. This will go over the only lane that is good with Zeus and that's mid lane so I hope you like it and I will see you guys later.
Pros of the Build:
1. Lots of Magical Power.
2. Great amount of Penetration.
3. Have above average amount of health for a mage.
4. Have some CDR.
5. Have some Magical Lifesteal.
6. Good amount of Mana.
Cons:
1. No Protections.
2. No Attack Speed items.
3. You have to farm to get additional health.
4. You need to get warlock's sash to make Bancroft's Talon more functional.
Overcharge
Every time you hit a same enemy multiple times your attacks does more damage. This passive is all focused on Zeus's basic attacks so the more time you hit the same enemy with your basic attack it applies more damage. Also the second function is when you hit an enemy it applies a charge that is used for your Detonate Charge.
Pros:
1. Very high area damage.
2. Very Powerful Early and Late game.
3. Could sustain his lane with ease.
4. Could easily pick off low health enemies.
5. Could change team fights to your favor.
Cons:
1. Weak at Mid game.
2. Has no escape moves.
3. He is only good at one lane.
4. Needs to be with other teammates to survive in fights.
5. You have to hit enemies to use one of your abilities.

As Sp1dHQ has stated, the Aegis Shield isn't really a good choice to max at mid game. Your 3 is the main skill in securing kills quickly. He made a good point in your build having very little magical penetration, perhaps try getting Obsidian Shard?
I understand many builds are of preference and I have my own build when coming to Zeus but I'd recommend you getting Obsidian Shard because its passive give syou 33% magical penetration on all your skills which is going to help tremendously when dealing with warriors and guardians.
Instead of maxing that shield so quickly, switch over to your 3 because thats going to do insane damage. The shield, after its nerfs its been through, isn't as potent as the 3. The shield is only going to be a viable skill when using in Arena because the other team are going to bunch up at 1 point which is your moment to shine, but in conquest, its going to be useless as the shield's main goal is to help stack lightning charges around it.
I personally maxed my 3 by Level 9 because I'm very dependant on it. It's great to poke someone and force them back home so you can keep farming the lane.
I'll consider rearranging my skill build later on as I adjust to different playstyles, but at the moment I'm very biased towards the nuke haha.
Another good item to get is Polynomicon becaue its going to abuse your basic attack and huge power so badly any god who mess with you are going to run crying to their mum.
I wouldnt recommend maxing ur shield, cause 3rd skill is ur main nuke. If u r going to stay still on lane (what is obviously not good - more of a newbie playstyle) maxing shield is good.
Ur actives are awful. If sprint might be viable, meditation is garbage compared to other items like sanctuary and purification. Without those u will be destroyed in teamfight
