This is a short guide for people dipping their toes into the tank champions of Smite. This build is not mean't to be serious in any way, instead it is a fun build for, in my opinion, one of the best flex tanks in Smite.
This guide is very flexible, if you don't want to follow it to the letter, feel free to do so. The build is a mash of cool-down reduction, physical and magical protection, and magical damage.
First Steps
Your first time at spawn, your gonna want to grab Book of Souls and whatever piece of the Reinforced Shoes that you can afford. You can get any relics you want, but my suggestion would be to get Aegis at the start of the game, and grab either Blink Rune, Meditation Cloak, Purification Beads, or Shield of Thorns second. Once you start racking up some assists, minion kills, and the occasional cheeky kill, you should have enough to finish off the boots, then you want to start building Spirit Robe. Spend the rest of early game building these three items, if you are running out of health or manna quickly early game, buy the chalices.
Mid Game / Late Game
After you finish your first three items, begin to buy Genji's Guard. The last two items are completely up to you, if you've come this far following the guide exactly, I would suggest getting Ethereal Staff and finishing it off with either Mantle of Discord if your fighting against a high dps team, or get another damage item, such as Spear of Desolation or Gem of Isolation.
Summary
This build is going to make you one beefy ***********er, but don't expect to get insane amounts of kills. If you have a few assassins or high single target damage warriors, you can pull enemies and get tons of assists.
