Xing Tian is just another example that you cannot make a God fit the meta, but rather need to make a meta fit the god.Xing Tian is everything you don't want about a guardian, but everythig you NEED in a solo lane warrior. His passive gives him very nice sustain buffs the more his abilities are used, this will allow him to stay in lane longer than low sustain gods in the early game and about as long as high sustain gods in themid game. And since his sutain is reolving around, mana usage and his cooldowns. It is only natural to build Full CDR and Intense mana very early on for this god. Which is where the Boots and Breastplate come in. He is a tank, there is no denying that, but he shouldn't be built like a Sobek or anything. He needs to be built to take advantage of the high amount of Scaling his abilities have, while also keeping in mind the the kit involves you being up close and person with the enemy, meaning you gotta build tanky, with a ton of power at the same time. This is where Void Stone come in, this allow for high damage, and still sustain the high defenses Xing Tian needs. Warlocks gives Xing more mana to work with during that slow point in the early game when your second mana buff is down, but you are still in lane. Allowing for more sustain and power. Ethernal Staff is the last item, allowing him to gain even MORE power just from being tanky, as well as adding health that he could have lost from not getting heartward or another high health item. This creates a very tanky, very sustainable, very hurting god who is able to adapt to what the game throws at him from his buff being down, to getting behind in lane. And since i am no expert on Xing Tian and this is just a "preliminary guide" to try and set him up as the god he is, I cannot give you any more usage of his abilities than you can read, with the exception that they hurt, REALLY bad with this build.
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

You can go all out tank with sov, renewal, valor, reinf without bancrofts, but personally its more fun to me to get bancrofts for the lifesteal and either ethereal staff if my hp is alot, or something with penetration like Obsidian. Anyway, just my 2 cents about this god, I personally love to do Arena with him and think thats what he was made for.
You do not know the possibilities of a game. It ALWAYS depend on your enemies. One protection is not better than the other. Maybe the jungler and adc sucks and the mage is kicking your ***. Or solo lane is getting completely destroyed. All in all it depends on your enemies. In a typical meta, physical might be better but mages still burst like **** so who knows.
Oh and the first poster was right too, WHY say your building a damage spec and then not take your highly damaging Ult??
