Zeus fires a bolt of lightning that arcs between enemies, doing damage and applying a charge on each hit.

Aegis Assault

Zeus throws his shield forward dealing damage to nearby enemies and apply a charge. The shield remains for 5s, and Zeus may target it with Basic Attacks or Chain Lightning. Each Basic Attack or first Chain Lightning arc that hits the shield will deal additional static damage and apply a charge in the area. While Zeus' shield is deployed, he gains Attack and Movement Speed. Zeus may refire the ability to recall the shield early.

Zeus

Zeusthe god of lighting, lives to his name in Smite. Zeus is good at ambushing in a sense.
Very good solo lane, fry your enemies with this Guide! Also your own Nimbus!

Early Game skills.

Level 1 and 2 you want to get the skills chain lighting and Detonate charge. These will be your advantage to leveling faster than your opponent in your lane . Remember when fighting other god's your basic attack adds a charge. These charges stack up to 3 times, each charge double the damage with Detonate Charge.

Reason for Early game items.

Okay to start off with items your going to purchase Meditation(Mana Heal). This will stop you from returning to Temple when in need of mana. Carry 1 or 2 health potions with you. The second item your going to purchase is level 1 Magis boots. For speed boost and increasing your killing time. The last early game item you want to purchase is Witchs Stone this item increases your atk speed. More attack speed means more charges, more charges more damage :D

Mid game skills and Items.

Okay so now you should be hitting around 7-10, you should have your Ultimate move by now. Your stilling focusing on chain lighting and detonate charge. These should be maxed by now, if they are not your at a disadvantage. You must remember these two skills are the only advantage Zeus has in minion or God battles. We are going to level up Lighting shield to level 1 now. (meat shield + speed) We wont focus this till later in game, but level one helps a lot of escapes.
Now you should have Fatalis and magi's boots maxed.

Good lane partners/ Bad lane partners.

Vamana.- He is strong in melee damage and will take damage long before you will, he is your body shield.

Odin.- Odins ultimate is excellent with Zues's. what better then them being forced to sit in your thunder storm?

Most melee will do trick for good lane partner if your not middle. If any above are on your team and your going left/right call dibs on them! :D

Bad

Artemis.- Ultimate helps trap helps, but low defense to reliant of others. She will steal alot of your kills.

Arachne- Arachne is too squishy and is jungling most of the time, so your basically by yourself.

Most range are bad partners unless you guys are higher level together.

No polynomicon, no penetration, this build will not work well enough to land you kills in late game, which is when zeus is most powerful. It is best to buy poly/gem 2nd or 3rd item, with rod 4th and magical penetration after that. Fatalis is unnecesary.

Most people buy fatalis with zeus to increase attack speed. Whether or not u agree with that idea, it's clearly much better than witch's stone on zeus. Not putting at least 1 point into aegis shield early is just plain dumb. When it's up it increases both defenses, increases speed, makes zeus immune to all slowing effects, reflects damage and enemy attacks apply a charge to the enemy...Without aegis sheild Zeus is incredibly frail, And it has very low mana cost! One could argue it is Zeus' best ability. Gem of isolation is also not included in the build - without it, Zeus has ZERO utility, it also keeps enemies in his ult longer. A better build would have fatalis instead of witch's stone, midgardian mail (or better yet wall of absolution) instead of bp of valor, and gem of isolation somewhere in it. Build also completely lacks penetration, which is going to dwarf Zeus' damage.
