Passive: Demon Bag
The demons that Zhong Kui captures from Exorcism are stored in his demon bag, giving him additional protections for each demon captured. When Recall Demons is activated, Zhong Kui gains double the protections from his Demon Bag, but eventually losing all stacks when the bag is empty.
This passive is pretty much for the ultimate. While farming be aware of getting using your one and 2 combo to be filling up your bag.
1. Expose Evil
Zhong Kui pastes a card on all enemies in front of him, marking them as a demon, slowing and damaging them each second while they are marked. If the card is removed, 50% of the remaining damage is done instantly.
Damage Per Tick: 20/30/40/50/60 (+15% of your magical power).
Slow: 20%. Card Lifetime: 6s.
This ability is half your lane clearance, the other half is Exorcism. You can clear a whole lane by level 5, plus it fills up your bag. Also it has a slow that can be useful for chasing and escaping enemies before you have Gem of Isolation. The bleed is above average also.
2.Exorcism
Zhong Kui drives out the demons of his enemies, dealing damage as they leave the body. Demons marked by Expose Evil are captured by Zhong Kui, healing him per demon captured (up to 3), and have the card removed.
Damage: 75/125/175/225/275 (+50% of your magical power).
Heal: 30/45/60/75/90 (+20% of your magical power).
This ability is Zhong Kui's main damage, as his second ability is shorter range and doesn't do the burst when used on enemies with Expose Evil effects on them. This ability is now only very powerful in level 1 team fights, but in level 20 team fights. And it heals, which makes Zhong Kui very good at sustain as he is not mana hungry. Its cooldown is kinda long which is why i recomend shoes of focus or Chronos Pendant.
3.When fired, the Book of Demons deals damage and stuns nearby enemies, with marked enemies getting stunned for 2x the duration and removing the card. When this ability is not on cooldown, the Book of Demons flies nearby Zhong Kui, firing for 50% of Zhong Kui's basic damage.
Damage: 60/115/170/225/280 (+70% of your magical power).
Stun: .5/.6/.8/.9s (2x for marked targets).
Now Zhong Kui has crowd control, plus another strong ability. As it is over a large area around Zhong Kui, its useful in team fights and while his ult is active. Plus it has a passive. Even though his shoots 2 basic attacks doesn't mean he's another Chronos. Do not get demonci grip, there are better items like Gem of Isolation.
4. Recall Demons
Key Bind: 4
When Zhong Kui activates this ability, demons pulse out from his bag at nearby players every second for 5s. They chase and accelerate over time, doing damage to enemies and healing to allies as they enter the body. Zhong Kui is immunte to crowd control for the duration.
Damage: 80/95/110/125/140 (+20% of your magical power).
Healing: 25/40/55/70/85 (+20% of your magical power).
Oh god this ability... This ability is AMAZING in team fights. And its healing makes it good for escaping plus Gem of Isolation slows enemies in a HUGE area. All you have to do is stand near them and its like 20 Brutalizes over 5 seconds. This plus all your other abilities equals burst damage. Another great use of this ability is for ganking if your team is helping you, you can surely get a kill. And because you have so many abilities you will probably end up with it. (not saying you should kill steal if there's and Apollo going for the kill too).
Shoes of Focus
The reason I say get this instead of Shoes of the Magi is because Zhong Kui's abilities have long cool downs, but if your going tanky, by all means get Shoes of the Magi as long as you have Breastplate of valor.
Doom Orb
Doom Orb is good on all mages but its especially good on Zhong Kui because he can easily get last hits very early in the game.
Warlock Sash
This item is better than doom orb if your going to be suicidal. You can always exchange doom orb for it if you're dying too much.
Focussed Voidstone
Why not? Its one of the best magic items. 25% pen makes obsidian shard unnecessary except for in certain situations. Plus if gives you magic protection which is great for staying in mid lane longer.
Gem of Isolation
Gem of Isolation is good on all mages but its especially good on Zhong Kui. Mainly because of his ult but also for Book of Demons. The slows will make it easier to get close and land this ability.
Rod of Tahuti
Great of every mage not much more to say.
Pythagorems Piece
I chose this item because I think along with all his burst he could get magical a lot of health. Plus it gives you mana so you can focus on other consumables like Wards and Teleports.
I can go on but most of the other items have simple reason like just the stats they give.
Zhong Kui is a good mid and great solo. Whats unique about him is his ganks. Make sure you gank your side lanes if your mid whenever you have a good opportunity you can almost always come back with a kill or assist. But be careful, it's not worst ganking for one kill if you come back to middle lane with your tower missing a ***** of its health every time. Get your jungler to defend your lane if necessary.
If your game lasts long enough to where there is big team fights, you suddenly become more important. All your abilities are multi target, and your stun is in a large area around you. And your ult is one of the best abilities for team fights. Your ult is also good to save for later in a team fight to pick off stragglers.
You want to get kills and committing suicide for them is ok as long as your enemy dies. I played a game where i was going 0 and 4 and then when 13 and 4 in the end.
If you have a team that actually pays attention to its composition (then your lucky(, then make sure you have a lot off cc.
Zhong Kui fits with a lot of gods so its not that important but large area stuns are good with Zhong Kui. (Chang e, Chronos, Ymir and more)
He also works well with gods like arachne, hercules and sobek who can throw enemies into your stun and ultimate.
Please post comments and suggestions, this is actually my first guide.
OH YEAH and btw, how do you make things like items and abilities show their picture and link them to it? PLS HELP

Oh hell no.
The guide, for a first guide, is decent. I can give you some help concerning BB Coding and pictures. PM me.
However, I HATE God guides on the first day of release. They show little effort in learning to play the God and are usually made by people who just want to get basic info out. While you have some decent info, you obviously haven't taken the time to really learn Zhong Kui.
The funny part is, there is no way you can know what a solid build on ZK is either, since your comment was also posted on ZK's release date.
Please, don't start bashing people just because a guide is early. His guide isn't the best out there, but if you're going to make comments, make them about the guide's actual content, rather than "it's early, it sux!"
As for adding in items, actives, and spells, simply type their name within double brackets. For example, turning Fatalis into Fatalis can be achieved by entering [-[Fatalis]-] without the dash marks.
For an actual picture that links to a god or spell, such as , enter a code similar to [-icon-=Hel size-=25]. Increasing the value of the number after size will enlarge the icon, and decreasing its value will shrink the icon.
A little bit of color can go a long way too. There are multiple ways to code in color, but the easiest one would be to highlight the code such as [-[fatalis]-] (obviously without the dashes), and move your cursor over the colored, circular icon above a character box, and select the color of your choosing. If you have a long guide, I suggest choosing a specific color classification, such as yellow for items, orange for actives, and pink for spells.
If you're going to post a guide for a god on the first day, I suggest creating a template of the guide in advance, and researching the god's skills so that you can get the BBC coding and general information ready. Posting a basic guide is perfectly fine, though, granted you have some experience and it's not too hard to read.
