If you are reading this, then you must have some time on your hands
Hello people,
My name is Dylan Bamzy and I'm a 19 year old who enjoys playing video games, especially MOBA's, MMO's and Adventure games. I'm British but i'm originally from Nigeria. Yes, I'm a black dude who plays SMITE. Pretty rare now that you think about it.
Well basically I've been playing SMITE for about a year now and I've had such a wonderful experience with the game. Even when I lose, I still feel satisfied that I got something out of the game. Unlike most of the other MOBA's I play:
League Of Legends feels more of a chore than playing a video game and Heroes of the Storm even though its a easy game, is a complete waste of time because no matter how well you play the game is still going to be even at one point and one mistake can throw the game.
Enough ranting though, the real reason I'm here is a thought I had a couple of days ago. I was playing a game and i was playing against an isis who was on auto-buy. The game went on for about 30 mins and then i realised that she has no clue the game has overcapped her cooldown reduction and had no idea what her actives did and when she had to use them. So after the game, I began to research. I actually sat down for about 30 minutes to look at the recommended items for each God and I realised that they are so outdated. I mean, look at Neith's recommended:
Now, I'm not an expert but i know that recommended build isn't going to help anyone who is playing the game for the first time and trying to learn the game.
Oh, btw if you want to check out my Smite Guru Page, here you go:

So, I've have decided that I will try to the best of my ability to make at least some basic guides for new-comers so they can understand the ropes properly. Because I think that someone should not be ridiculed because they didn't know what items to get in which order, not knowing when to rotate for mid camps, which laner gets which buff, what god is played in which lane or what active to get in certain match ups/scenarios. The list is really long and I personally think somebody needs to shine a light in this area.
I will make an effort to try and make one before the end of the month.
Feel free to leave a comment down below to express your thoughts down below. Positive and negative feedbacks will be highly taken into consideration.
さようなら!
Hi guys in new to the site sorry if this is the wrong place but I saw you writing about it can anyone tell me where to even find the general guides cos the searchbar only lets me search for gods guides
go to the all god guides tab there you have a searchbar with more options (to narrow on god or Freshness)
I Personally think so as well. Most of the guides are so mediocre, they need to be given feedback to say whether or not their guide is legitimate or not.
it happens only a lot of people just post something and are never to be seen again. there are better guide makers here, but not everyone that just comes here are at first (and some refuse to listen if you even Bash the build a bit you get stuff like: Try the build and then come back. while for most guide reviewers using theory crafting is already enough to see if things are right or wrong)
I wish people would give more criticisms and attention to some of the new guides.

Well we do have the BUG guide from Avary but it isnt noticed often.
I'm gonna agree here that general guides aren't noticed a lot. mostly as the front pages only shows new god guides and updated god guides (not updated general guides) unless you open it with more guides

The fact that it's from Aramey and not Avary is probably contributing to that :P
It's cool that you're so motivated by that, and I definitely think that that sounds like a good idea, but I'd probably wait until Season 3 since you'll have to redo most of the stuff you write once February comes with the item and meta changes.
Thanks for the advice. The guide or video I release in the coming weeks will just be a tutorial on how the guides will be structured. I look forward to your feedback once it goes live.
still the rest of the recommended items are what's being build atm (in core and damage as no one takes defensives) for most adc (and well I believe last time they updated this was before the Transcendence build became really popular too)
(and for most hunters I played they recommend Death's Toll and spike gauntlet along with some pots)
Also the recommended build is normally not the best even in LoL or Dota
And using auto build is really really bad.
