Can people honestly believe, that after 24 hours of a God being revealed that people can make guides. YOU CANNOT KNOW A GOD IN 24 HOURS!
2 guides have been made today for Athena and they were both not the best. They were rushed, they had no info, and one of them just posted the abilities
Posting a guide early is not only unprofessional, but it also shows that someone just wants to be the first to get a guide out. Is making a **** guide worth it? Not if I have something to say about it.
Making a guide with information that people already know is literally close to worthless. The ONLY person who I have seen to make a rushed guide on Gods and actually do them well, is RazeMage. Good job.
Seriously, if I see anymore Athena guides within this next week, maybe even two, you better believe that I will be looking at them. And I have a feeling that they will be **** unless RazeMage or Comicman made them. I will not hesitate to explain this all over again until every single person on this site gets it.
Don't even dare proving me wrong. Learn the God first. 24 hours is not enough time at all.
In fact, there are just a lot of **** guides on this site. It's horrifying. If you want to make a guide, at least show that you put effort into it.
I once saw someone make a guide and they had the balls to say that they put a lot of time into it. The build sucked, the guide was **** and there was no relevant info in it.
People... come on.
This is a guide on making guides: How to Make a Guide
If you want to make a guide, learn from this one and EVERY SINGLE LINK TO ANOTHER HELPFUL GUIDE!
BabbyBeef, I intend on archiving some of guides because when I made them I had no idea how to make a guide.
If you want to be the voice of all the people that disagree with me, you could do it without being a pest.
Surely then you should update you guides so as to not sound hypocritical? as that is the image i'm getting? so update your guides as they have been up voted so you at least look like you deserve them before making a post like this.
I guess you are refering to me? I'm sorry if I sounded that way on my guide, I will work on it. Wanna help me re-word some stuff? Kind of bad at that...
OK now i know there are a lot of bad guides but when it comes to builds a lot of your very own builds are disgusting (no offense) so please before hating on people learn the builds. A reason for bad guides being up voted could be for good builds, but i understand the actual "guide" part of them is very lacking and not teaching people how to play said god, i just feel like a lot of the highly up voted guides have horrible builds which should not be used. Also when using situational items (which should be always) you need to explain what situations they are to be used rather than what they are and do.
I gave up on plenty of those, which is why they suck. They're also old, and I know builds quite well so I suggest you learn your facts before you start throwing insults.
You have a point with the rest, though.
And you're totally right. I've seen some guides and then I think: ''Wha-. How can a guide like that be so upvoted? Doesn't make sense''.
Do we just get people with a lack of common sense and an inability to see what a good and bad guide is? How are these guides getting upvotes?!
This is really just imbecilic. Apparently viewers don't know what a good guide is, and the bad guides are getting upvoted. If I see a **** guide on the front page, I WILL RAGE!
I was tempted to make the ever-annoying "FIRST!" post that has become the scourge of the Internet, just to make my point of how annoying it is when people just slam those guides up the moment the new god gets released, but it seems I am way too late for that now aren't I?
In my opinion, there needs to be some kind of grace period between a god's release and publishing guides for the new god. This way, players can not only try out and learn the new god, but also have time to put some effort into writing up their guide, instead of having people drop these quarter-***ed attempts less than 24 hours into the new patch and calling them guides.
I actually just sent a message to the administrators asking for a "waiting" period for guides on new Gods.
For everyone that sees this, when I am done none of these **** guides will exist again!
Still, I still have a small amount of optimism and hope that they will be updated, although, there still is no rush to release a guide early.
