Yeah, we have a bunch of contradictory opinions. Ironing them out is kind of the point of those posts. These arguments are just part of the process.
Yes, it would take a lot of effort and time and energy. Yeah, working out a proper compromise that will make all of us unhappy will take a while. So?
Look guys, I get it. There are a lot of problems with this game. Considering the podcast I think my viewpoint should be very, very clear.
But there are now what, 10-ish threads on making patch notes to be sent to... HiRezKelly? I think so.
The problem is as Sunfall said: We all have extremely different opinions of how the game should be changed. It is like me saying that Hercules is one of the most OP Gods in the game (which unless you buy Weakening Curse, then he is) and then ICEN arguing incessantly that Hercules is NOT OP.
Plus, some of us are very quick to want to put all of these ideas together. It doesn't work that way.
I think that we can come to a conclusion on these ideas, but it needs time, and it needs to be much more organized. I suppose that this is why HiRez pays attention to the ranked players....
If we could all sit around a table and talk about this (for this instance, not possible), then we could get stuff done. But I don't think that these threads will allow a genuine conclusion.
I think instead of Arcane being able to pull god's though walls she should pull herself to the wall giving her an escape and fixing the arena problem where she can pull you into her spawn
In all honesty, if you are standing so close to the enemy's base that she can do that, you deserve to get pulled inside the enemy base for trying to go YOLO around their portal.
To answer the first post, I honestly find that the "Let's Make Patch Notes" threads have gotten rather out of hand. It has become evident a lot of us have varying opinions on balance, and what might be considered viable in one player's eyes could be underpowered or overpowered to another, or have very different opinions on whether certain things should even exist. For example, I propsed that Eye of Providence should be removed from the game because it diminishes the concept of warding being a team effort and places unnecessary burden upon the players who take it.
It would honestly take a long time before we could reach any compromises, and I'm afraid the end result might not be satisfactory due to the lack of any ability to test it out ourselves.
3. I'd prefer a scaling debuff, as outright removing it makes this ability feel pointless outside the laning phase.
I'll copy and paste onto the main thread.
Here are the problems that I have with Neith:
1. Backflip has so much going on. A slow, a back flip (duh), damage, and a Weave. Remove the slow and the damage, and I believe that it will be fine.
2. Spirit Arrow should have some of its damage reduced, as well as reduced time on the root.
3. Unravel should not have both a heal as well as a reduced speed debuff. She is the only Carry in the game to have an ability that both heals her and debuffs an enemy. Remove either the heal or the debuff (preferably the debuff) and it will make a good CC initiator for her.
4. She needs more clothes.
This one is rather specific - Neith. Why don't you tell us exactly why you dislike her/feel she is overpowered?
I guess I've discussed with him on a podcast, about Neith. Can't remember what episode, though...
Subzero: The reason I don't join in on those is because there are like, 10 of them going around, and I don't have the time to pay attention to all of them.
