Nex The Slayer
DawnGate is getting a freaking
blind otter bounty hunter that: dual wields two steampunk flintlocks, has true sight on his wards, a short cooldown dash, can cleanse CC and bouncing basic attack on his ultimate. Ohh and I almost forgot to mention that he also embodies justice.
Smite is getting a tree guy with an RNG passive, a seed that grants MP5, reused arachne ult and a high damage huge AoE with CC that they give to every single tank.
I haven't played Smite since New wa was released, but this was the last nail in the coffin that made me finally decided to uninstall Smite.
Now I will just have to wait for DawnFire.
Mowan plz...
*cough*Basko*cough*
I find voluc worse because everyone who plays it nows it's number one rule:
Stun (when possible) and run from the Voluc. If you get slowed by his slow your dead.
But I digress. I wish you luck in DawnGate, my friend :)
To clarify, I love Smite:
I love the 3rd person view, I love the fact that you can play as gods, I love arena, I love Rama
I just hate Hi-rez:
They pretty much only made Smite to make money, they were constantly updating Tribes: Ascended (a game that I really like). Then they stopped because they discovered that Smite was making them more money.
They have proven multiple times that they know absolutely nothing about balanced, they just create a concept, release it and see if it sticks. Then if it turns out to be op or up they nerf/buff something about at what seems to be random, did it work? Great! If it didn't, they either ignore it and move on *cough* Artemis*cough* or continue until they **** it up even worse then it was to begin with *cough* Mercury*cough*.
DawnGate is made by MOBA fans, people who love the genre and want to put there ideas in to action. They clearly have an understanding on how balance works and are trying there best to correct there mistakes, but know that nerfing something the moment it seems to good might do more harm then good.
You can tell that they love doing what they are doing (just watch the Ronan reveal) because, like there fans they love MOBA's. Sure DawnGate is not a perfect game *cough*Basko*cough*, but I still love it. Heck I have been on a losing streak for 2 days now, but I still walk up to my computer everyday and go "I really want to play some DawGate right now!"
Sorry.
Jesus. Maybe it's not identical. But very similar concept.
Ne zha's would infact be a better comparison. Doh! But yeah.
You guys shouldn't be so quick to bash and insult XD. I wasn't attacking anyone. Chill out.
You made a flawed comparison that could give people a false idea.
Its not bashing when i prove you were wrong death...
But if you want a more narrow definition it would be. An attack that first dashes, grabs a target, pulls them into mid-air and slams them to the ground. Wether they attack 3 times in midair or autolock for the dash, or getting to choose where you slam them down, doesn't matter.. It's all the same concept. Do I care they are all the same concept? nope.
I just used that as an example of there not being much originality in moba's for awhile. Most of it's ben reused lately.
I use "Copy" lightly cuase they have ben tweaked alittle to give it the games own flavor, or uniqueness to the concept.

Your definition of copying needs a rework. Otherwise, China might sue America for the concept of "flat money."
I mean, when you call a damaging dash a concept...then almost EVERYTHING would be a copy, wouldn't it? You might want to narrow your definition a bit.

3rd person is best perspective. imo.
Plus. Every Moba copies abilities from one another, and reuses stuff. Every god in Dawngate has abilities that are almost identical to it's moba counter-parts (Lesbian eel ult..Hello Vi?).
Only thing dawngate has going for it different is the awesome itemization. It's pretty much the only thing I wish Smite had more of. I was alittle upset when they started removing items to make it more simple.
Moya's ult and vi's ult have a ***ping 2 things in common. They are both dashes that deal damage... What ever happens after that are 2 different things.
Do you research before saying things you don't understand...
Yeah I would play it if it was third person, that's why I'm waiting for gigantic.
OMG, Gigantic looks better than any other mobs that I have seen before, it's impossible to describe with words how amazing it looks. I need to be in the Alpha!

Excuse-me?
You seems to not understand what other MOBAs have. In fact, you are kindan idiot.
Vi ultimate is single target targeted dash with good range and CCs and damages the target once you reach them. It's perfect for initiation and the target becomes a sitting duck.
Moya ultimate is more like Ne Zha's; you grab one target with a skillshot, damage them (although Moya's ult deals WAY less damage), and bring them back down a few seconds later. The target becomes untargetable while in the air, but Moya's ultimate lets you reposition them to a location nearby (like pulling a target into or out of tower, or into your team.)
It's easy to say that Dawngate copies abilities, but you haven't even shown an example of one. You didn't even do your home work?
