Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. I thought I had explained it pretty well earlier. It's not that you had some people + rep you and some people "- rep" you (there is no - rep), it's just that only a few have + rep'd you.
Most people don't really seem to notice the button, maybe because it's so hard to see purple on Smitefire. Either way, it was several months before I hit 20, which marks you as notable. Just give it time.
