Abilities
Passive: Mark of Consumption: Whenever Voluc deals damage with an ability to a target he applies a Mark of Consumption, causing them to take 3% (+2% of your magical power) of their maximum health as magical damage over 2 seconds. Voluc is healed an amount equal to 50% of the damage dealt. Damage against non-gods is reduced to 1.5% (+1% of your magical power) of their maximum Health.
1: Sentinel Strike: Voluc passively gains 50% of his magical power as attack damage, and his basic attacks deal physical damage.
Active: Voluc fills his blade with baleful energy, causing his next basic attack within 6 seconds to deal 40 / 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 (+50% of your magical power) bonus magical damage to his target and every enemy in an arc in front of him.
Basic attacks against gods reduce the cooldown of Sentinel Strike by 2 seconds. This effect is halved against nongods.
Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds.
2: Curse of Weakness: Voluc launches a fissure of energy toward target god within 30 feet, dealing 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 (+50% of you magical power) magical damage to each enemy it passes through, reducing the primary target's Movement Speed by 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 % for 4 seconds and the secondary targets' by 19 / 23 / 27 / 31 / 35 % for 2 seconds.
Curse of Weakness marks the primary target for 5 seconds. Voluc’s next basic attack against the marked enemy deals 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 + (50% of your magical power) bonus magical damage.
Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds.
3: Devour: Voluc howls with rage, dealing 55 / 95 / 135 / 175 / 215 + (+75% magical power) magical damage to all enemies in 30 foot, 90 degree cone. Voluc gains 1 stack of Vengeance for each enemy hit (2 from gods), which increases Voluc’s attack and move speed by 6/7/8/9/10% per stack, and lasts 4 seconds. (Maximum 4 stacks.)
Cast time: 0.5 seconds.
Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds.
4: Damnnation: Voluc creates a vortex of blight around him, dealing 200/250/300/350/400 (+125% Magical power) magical damage over 4 seconds to all enemies within 20 feet. Voluc gains 30/50/70% magical lifesteal for the duration.
Cooldown: 100/95/90/85/80 seconds.
Voluc is a high damage, high sustain melee Bruiser adept at engaging teamfights and dealing widespread area damage to enemy gods. Voluc makes up for his lack of hard crowd control with pure damage, often outdamaging and outsustaining any other god in a duel.
Natural lifesteal and healing on his kit encourage Voluc to stay in a fight, even when the outlook is grim. Never underestimate the amount of health Voluc can gain when using his Ultimate in a group of enemy gods or minions.
Gameplay
Voluc can perform well in both the solo lane role and the jungle, having strong waveclear and sustain with his passive and Sentinel Strike. His ganking is somewhat lackluster, but the long-lasting slow can make Voluc catch up to badly positionined enemies after they use their escapes, where he can butcher them to pieces with Sentinel Strike and Devour.
In teamfights, Voluc performs the carry role, dealing massive sustained area damage at close range, staying healthy with multiple applications of his passive, as well as the gigantic lifesteal bonus on his ultimate.
Meta
Voluc is viable due to his carry bruiser role, able to take on assassins and other carries with his protections, while dealing massive damage in return.

Defensive: Anything. Literally, you could build void blade and Ancile.

But I don’t dare venture beyond the depths of the Heart, where men might come upon me. I imagine what might happen if my wife came looking for me. If my little girl saw me asleep in the grass, surrounded by a fall of dead sparrows. If she ran up to hug me…
I wonder if they still look for me. Oh, I pray they don’t. I hope they’re heartbroken, lighting candles in my name. I hope they’ve given up on ever seeing me again.

You know, unless DucksRocks disqualifies it, I'm pushing it as a legitimate entry. It's a geniunely good MOBA character, after all.
Besides, it's not like I don't have plenty of OTHER ideas in my head. I just went with this one because I thought it would be nice.

I dunno if some of the abilities do scale to strong compared from dawngate to smite.
