Yay for my first blog post?

Last Friday, the limited edition to a game I had preordered, Hyperdimension Neptunia: Victory finally arrived in my mail after being delayed a bit. Being a fan of the series, I was very excited that this day finally arrived and that I was finally getting the chance to play this game, especially after those folks in Europe got it a week ahead of time!

I'm not going to go into a full review here, but rather, just posting to say I've been currently engaged in lengthy play sessions of this game and enjoying it a LOT. There is a lot to do in this game and I've barely scratched the surface. To give a brief summary of the game, it is the third installment in a series, where the plots basically boiled down to being a parody of the Console Wars (Nintendo vs. Sony vs. Microsoft vs. Sega). The game revolves around goddesses known as Console Patron Units (CPUs), who are the personifications of real-world consoles, as they vie for control over the world's shares (the faith that gives them their divine powers). The series is known for it's all-female playable characters and some very hilarious dialogue, rife with references to gaming and anime culture.

Sadly, I can't recommend it to everyone. Games like this are without a doubt an acquired taste. If you have no love for Japanese RPGs, anime, magical girls, comical plots that don't take themselves seriously, or you hate the way Neith dresses, you probably won't like the game. But if you do like most or all of those things, then go ahead and give the game a go, you may like it a lot!

Yeah, this is basically why I haven't been requesting any party-matches of SMTIE this weekend :P I will still remain active on the SMITEFire forums and answer any questions or respond to any interesting discussion topics out there.

I'm also taking this time to mention I will be working on another guide in the near-future. I won't say exactly who I'm going to cover, but it will contain the same degree of detail that I've been giving my past guides, so you can expect a very in-depth synopsis.
