Well back then in early closed beta, they had 3 active slots.

Since you didn't give a reason as to why there should be a third active slot, I'm not going to give a reason for saying that it's an awful idea.

because there's simply too much tower hugging / killstealing / choo choo training going on ,

adding a third active ability (can be tiered specific abilities for the sake of balance), will eliminate some of the stale gameplay.

No no. You control minions. Build bases. Expand to new resources. No more 3rd person but birds eye view and you control more than one character. Much better.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
