And I think I'm still right. Like, it's an ultimate instead of a basic ability, yeah, I got that. You can't cast anything (except buffs, but those don't do anything different than as if they were cast as soon as you landed. The cast-while-ascended is just a QoL thing.) You still use it to jump on someone, but instead of a targeted leap, you move while in the air - which does make sense, as Smite's gameplay is different. And the skill is still going to be used in the exact same way.

If it weren't a clone, it would have been designed to be unable to do something that Rappel could. A clone with augmentations is still a clone.

The real difference would be the cooldown. If it ends up being like her old ultimate with a short cooldown, it's essentially another basic ability, aka just like how was basically Blitz's Rocket Grab but with removed counterplay. This is similar - Rappel but with less counterplay. If it ends up with a high cooldown, depending on the numbers, it might not be a clone.

I will admit that the rest of her kit seems promising. I hope I'm not proven wrong. I have a feeling that this would be the typical spam-all-abilities-and-basic-attack-ult-for-brainless-use kind of assassin that HiRez is so fond of.

Anyway, moving on from that, I do like the new noodle, who seems more noodle-like than ever.

it seems like a diluted clone of apollo now tbh, I will miss her "pull of happy fun times"

it was a skill shot at the end of the day mate, there was nothing skill less about it, granted some people couldn't cope with it but then again there are people who can't deal with other gods like anubis, that is life.

Coccoon was a great move and I will miss it dearly

It was a skillshot as any ability in smite, but it didn't need as much skill, not even remotely close, to an Ullr axe, max range Ne Zha ult, not even close to . Its projectile speed always baffled my mind, it's almost instant and impossible to miss by a competent player. I'm not a spider player, and everytime I got it in Assault I hit 9/10 ults, I find it THAT easy to hit.

P.S. Despite all the hate, I'll miss that ultimate. It was all part of Smite's general feeling. Being in a teamfight and being dragged out all of a sudden made me mad, but also laugh.
