Oh god, this didn't turn into a rant thread, this turned into a misc thread.

Narujitsu, start a new rant since you're the ranter here.

How about Aphrodite vs Neith?

By Narujitsu, I assume that you mean me.

I despise Neith, who I have re-named as *****. So much FLIPPING AND SHOOTING AND MORE FLIPPING AND HEALING. How can an AD have so much CC?

Aphrodite, who in case you haven't noticed I call Aphro-titties, isn't that much of a deal to me. Vulcan (or rather Hephaestus) must have created the Breast Implants of The Gods or something, because DAYUM. Her CC is infuriating and she can be hard to kill, but if you can use some hard CC on her yourself she can go down easily. Unlike *****... I despise her so much.

I'm disliking Bacchus, a decent player can easily destroy with him, if they had mana buff in the beginning, by continously filling up his drunk-o-meter with his first ability. The bellyflop+stun combo is quite annoying. With the addition of a carry on the lane, he can easily wreck. Especially since his Ultimate also destroys pratically half of the enemies' health. I would really be careful if I was playing around Bacchus. Once that stun comes, a followup will be received causing a catastrophic amount of damage. He hasn't even used his ultimate yet. The only way I think is mana is the huge problem with Bacchus.

Ok seriously, Poseidon's Whirlpool is BROKEN. I just went up against a Poseidon in mid lane, and with just Vampiric Shroud he was dealing 2-300 damage with just Whirlpool, and half of the damage I could not escape. I could not touch him, and I wasn't able to deal a single bit of damage to him.

Complete ****. I thought a damage buff and a stronger pull on him would be great, but I was WRONG. That **** is overpowered.

Gotta agree with this. You don't even have to be very skilled with him, you just need to land your 2+3, and have a teammate do all the rest (Thor in particular, who is another possibly overpowered god, is insanely effective with Bacchus).

I do not, however, believe there is such a thing as "overpowered" gods. Overpowered often ends up being the noob's excuse for their poor skill when they fail to defeat their opponent, often due to a lack of counterplay. To give an example, I was playing Loki in Domination, and I kept getting my butt kicked by a Freya because she happened to build Purification Beads to shrug off my stun and Wall of Absolution, which kept her alive just long enough to fight back and kill me. Does that mean Freya was overpowered? No, she found a way to counter my assassination attempts and turn the tables on me. I was outplayed.

What I do believe is that there are underpowered gods that are in need of a boost in order to bring them up to the level of other gods. Currently, we're looking at this trend of "power creep" gods that have been getting released ever since Guan Yu, whose kits are saturated with a lot of extra effects, certainly moreso compared to older gods. Naturally, this means that some of the older gods that weren't designed under these premises will feel weaker by comparison, and the solution would be to simply update their kits.

There is also the question of the metagame: is the god bad because the kit is bad, or is the god bad because the metagame doesn't favor the role? Arachne is a perfect example of a god who is considered to be bad because the current metagame doesn't really have a place for jungler or duelist roles, which are her greatest strengths. The early game doesn't even matter when she loses those strengths later on. Yet against teams who don't understand the concept of grouping up for the lategame, she is an absolute monster when she is picking off people that are wandering alone.

Really, if there's anything for me to rant about, it's all the people who cry OP when most of the time, they probably aren't even trying to improve their skill or learn to counter, and instead just want to have gods nerfed into the dirt. Hel already had this happen to her, and I'd prefer not to see another one wind up like her.
Waiting on a good new MOBA, please.

I think there are times when it's safe to say a god is OP. For instance, before the Vamana ultimate nerf, he WAS OP due to his ultimate. He could build pure physical defence, and dish out more damage than a carry with his ult. I wouldn't consider terming something "OP" as an excuse for the player in question being bad, but more something players say when they can not conceive any possible counters to a god. (This does not mean there ARE no counters)
Rep me up if I helped!

+Rep for that. I agree with your talk. Anybody can be countered. Hel(not talking about the goddess here)...I've seen some pretty good folks, but all gods face defeat in the hands of a counter. I used to rage about Anubis OPOPOPOP. Now, I counter him with Hebo and completely wreck an Anubis, unless they happen to gank and hit their wrap well. I would actually choose Hebo over Anubis any day. Another time, I happen to also notice the power levels of Hebo, just two hits of his combo (Not even fed) could easily go over 9000+ after just a few hits of his splash cannon. His potential is deadly, but Anubis can counter him just as well once that wrap is in, Hebo is as good as done! I guess I can agree as well Sunfall, Idhekrlovejsoejyouddksn.

A good Bacchus will always have a load of pots/manabuff (sometimes I get it but sometimes I rather give it to someone like Ao kuang so he can spam tornadoes) or maybe meditation (I don't always like to buy this, late game an amulet or beads is more usefull)
Edit: do you play someone like loki? Omly squishy gods loose half their health by the ult XD

I have a complaint. A legit complaint.

The female skins are ridiculous. Worse than that Dead or Alive Volleyball game. The skins for the male/animal/thing skins are fine and are actually varied in style. The female characters are all identical. If we could please find a way to make a character female without just plopping sagging boulders on her chest area, I would greatly appreciate it.

Look, I'm a man like anyone else. I love skin and knockers like the next guy. But animated cartoony jigglies just don't do it for me.

I challenge any and all game designers and artists of all types to make something feminine and sexy without reverting to something as childish as "huge boobies, teehee".
