Which Melee gods are best with these combos?

never crit + ls I would say (crit, as and ls are sub categories to ap), because if you have low ap you get low ls and if you have low ap you also get low crit.

I would say crit ap on everyone, and devo (60pp makes this the best physical power item in the game and you get a ton of ls as well) :)

why not all three. with the recent change to Qin's Blades its pretty fun. Plenty of items provide combos between power/LifeSteal and Power/Crit chance.

For instance, on an assassin, you can go Tabi (ninja or warrior, doesn't matter), into devourer's glove, followed by rage or Qin's blades. If you go Qin's, follow with Rage, and Deathbringer. Go Rage, follow with Deathbringer then Qin's. Depends on how bad you need that extra lifesteal.

If you want attack speed as part of your AP, grab Asi or Fatalis as your only non damage item. Asi has two categories you want, and can save your life, but fatalis helps with chase, especially the new hastened Fatalis. Has secured me a few kills as an assassin. If not, get Another power item like Jotunn's wrath or something to finish you off with items. you can never go wrong with CDR.

I actually disagree with your statement about Assassins. They generally dont use LS, as it doesnt fit their role very well. AS+Crit+PP are the top priorities, as assassins get in, take a kill, and get out. LS is more fitted to gods who stay in the fight and need that extra sustain to get the edge in the fight. You shouldnt sacrifice extra damage or crit for lifesteal on an assassin, though Qins can usually be slipped in.

I build Liefsteal on my assassins so I can teamfight slightly better, or gank people with strong physical defense more effectively. However, your argument is normally pretty reasonable. On a team where I'm the only physical god, I don't build lefesteal, or if the other physical god is for some reason our tank.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions.
