The last one of these is so yesteryear, so I figured a new updated to more current gods was in order. The question is in the title, so I ain't gonna go repeatin' it.

Obviously the best teams have everything you need for Arena while also having great synergy. For example, Ao Kuang has great waveclear and AoE damage, and Chaac is probably the best warrior in Arena, but they don't necessarily go well together. Instead, Tyr would probably go better with Ao Kuang due to his long, easy-to-lead (aim ahead of) lockdowns.

As for me, my favorite composition consists of Athena, Ymir, Hel, Xbalanque, and Mercury. The CC is superb, the damage is ridiculous (Athena will be able to build more damagingly due to Ymir acting as the main guardian), have great waveclear, and are extremely resilient. In addition, they're not very reliant on long cooldowns, so they typically control the flow of the game.

But any team with Hel in is my favorite - cause I'll be in there ;)

Hel is crazy in any arena team, she is a terror, but it is very easy to be bad at hel. I just faced a game where i was fenrir and enemy had a hel. All i had to do was leap and brutalize and she died, that heal did not even heal or used CC immunity on time to save her teammates from my bite. So if the hel is good, the enemy can go to hell. And if not, well you can go to hell :P

Agni, Athena, Anubis/ Freya, Xbalanque, Wukong.

Agni because he's got so much ranged CC with tons on damage on the top + he's difficult to kill.

Athena because Athena.

Anubis because instant facemelt.

Or Freya because of her damage on short cooldowns+ the ability to finish fleeing enemies.

Xbalanque because of THAT damage.

Monkey because of the huge utility and damage he can bring into any team.

Arena comps are complicated. In low MMR (Which in normal queues would equate to low level) Ares is a must have, and him + zeus is basically a GG.

In level 30 or in decent MMR/Elo/Trueskill ranked, I'm not entirely sure, but you need a waveclear, an initiate, and then huge teamfight potential.

As such, I prefer a Healer Mage, a High Initiation Tank (Meaning not Geb, for example), a Teamfight Mage (Agni, Zeus, Freya, Ao Kuang) that can usually waveclear, then two physical that don't overlap in Hunter, Bruiser, or Assassin. For Hunter I prefer Xbalanque or Anhur (IF GOOD) for the snowball potential, Assassin I prefer either a dominate early or dominate late, not a balanced, so Loki, Mercury, and Kali are prime, and for bruisers I only like Tyr and Sun Wukong. Guan Yu can work for me in double initiation team comps.

In the end, a team comp is based on playstyle: poke, harass, all in, wombo combo, protect the carry, etc.

But for me, my prime group is this:
Athena, Agni, Xbalanque, Ra/Chang'E/Hel, and Tyr. No one is vulnerable to enemy assassins if played right, you have a decent hidden initiation with Xbalanque masking Tyr's Blink Fearless or Athena's Charge, with Agni laying down huge AoE in a Chang'e ult if her, or Ra providing just insane teamfight healing, finally, if Hel she provides CC immunity against wombo combo teams and nice healing/damage at the cost of safety through range and a legitimate ultimate. The only vulnerabilities I see are high chase comps, such as a group based around fatalis assassins, Nemesis, or mobile bruisers, that can catch and lock down Xbalanque and Agni. Additionally, if you fall behind, the power HEAVILY drops. If you don't group up to die to major ults, though, these are all very solid teamfight gods that also will definitely win most 1v1 engagements if going for buffs or whatnot. I don't see much downside to the comp outside possible AoE damage, but Agni's low CD ult cleans that up, with minor damage from the healing mage. Heal teams may give you some problem but this team can function as a hard engage comp, which counters mages. I think the comp is balanced enough to work in ranked, especially since Tyr counters many common high tyr (hehe) picks there, such as Zeus, Hel, and Anubis (if played right).

That was a huge paragraph. I'm done.

Only problem is with beads, you ruined 60% of your ults.
The first one can work, but you have no AoE damage. The individual power MAY be enough to overcome that though. If the former team falls behind, however, it's GG

Although this team doesn't have great ult combo's its a hell of a team comp.

Ymir, Loki, Hel, Tyr, and Chronos.

Ymir and Tyr mainly for the CC, Hel for healing, Loki just cause he's awesome(nah he cleans up kills+vanish), and Chronos for speed and survivability all while having a high damage output.
