The only time they where remotely viable was back in the days when they gave cdr, and still the only god who could get something out of them was :P

It's fun to use. I still don't get why there's still people who don't like it. The passive is great. But ya the stat bonuses aren't. It's a considered replacement for blink.

I've juked so many shots from ADCs with those boots at low health. I've freeze'd and splashed killed alcohol (Bacchus' ultimate) on so many fleeing guys when my wall/jump was out. It's my preferred item on tanks but now I'll just have to stick with greeves.

What if they put the speed bonus along with midas. Is that OP?

well that is kind of the probleme. the item was so severly under bought because the tank would need a full build and already have full ward coverage. tanks never really get the chance to get to full build.

never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

I have to disagree, here is why:

I'll just use as my example because he is one of the tanks with the highest base movement speed which is 365.

Boots of Celerity as we know gives 22% movement speed in combat and 35% out of combat.

This gives you 445,3 movement speed (365*1,22) in combat and 492,75 (365*1,35) out of combat.

Reinforced Greaves gives 16% in combat and 26% out of combat.

This gives you 423,4 (365*1,16) in combat and 459,9 (365*1,26) out side of combat.

So as you can see it's not that much of a difference (+21,9 and +32,85). In the early game I could agree with you that the out of combat movement speed would be good for rotations etc. but you are ofc. going to have midas boots. In the end game you should not be rotating as a support you are supposed to stay with your team.

On top of this we got the stats from compared to 95 health and mana, compared to 25 magical and physical protection, 15 hp5 and the 20% CC reduction (which is 30% btw in game fix this someone plea :P). The CC reduction can easily be the difference from getting the FG/GF stolen from your team or being able to secure it with HOG.
