What does the general smite players or comp players think about Guan Yu Thus far with his new remake.

I made this thread for one reason only.

When Guan Yu came out remade into physical EVERYBODY was saying how he is going to be OP.

Well what happened to that, did people change their minds, get bored of him, don't care, do they still think that.

I am just wondering, its like everyone has forgotten about Guan Yu because everyone was screaming how he is going to be OP when he first came out.

From personal experience I think he came out pretty balanced although his taulou assault was pretty strong early game before they changed the protection stripper to scale with ability level

Well, he did get nerfed so that helped. Other than that I think people just looked at his numbers and not the role he would fill. He ended up not being the incredible jungler a lot of people thought he would be, his support capabilities aren't too great, and his solo laning is merely good.

It's also possible that it is simply because Guan isn't that popular. Ne Zha, for instance, was a very powerful jungler that went almost unnoticed for quite some time due to lacking popularity for whatever reason. Guan might have a similar issue that makes it hard for people to see for themselves what he's truly capable of. Maybe.

I think Guan Yu is fantastic. Alot of people play him as a bruiser or melee which I don't think he's impressive as, I still play him as full tank which he is great as. His ult fantastic for initiating group fights and tower diving.

I just learned about 3 days ago that you can cancel his ult to get the stun easier.

I never knew this, Now I will be able to play Guan much better

I really disliked the Physical Bruiser Guan stats. He does a ****ton of damage, but his defenses are weak, and that's what I dislike about it.

His kit is still great, the ultimate is also good, although I prefer the old Drums of Death, just personal preference.

Also icen a pro tip for his ultimate!! If u hold down s while the ultimate is active you slow the horse down :)

I use a controller .... so what exactly was S was S down?

I did use a mouse at first but I switched to my xbox controller so I can play relaxed.
I don't have to hunch over my laptop now I can sit on the couch and play from a distance.

**** I think I'm going to buy cables so I can hook my laptop screen up the TV and play it like a console :)

S is down. His ult does take a couple times to get used to, it's probably not as good as his old one but it's still good, and his other abilities were buffed so much that he's probably better overall.
