HirezKelly's mail came in two parts , i missed the second one. It would be fantansic for them to learn our opinion on esports. I have no comments to make right now, may be somebody can throw more light on the topic and initiate a discussion.

I absolutely love watching tournaments. I want them to set it up in a more professional manner than what it is right now - but it IS just beta. Like look at LoL's fanbase - it garners people who pay tickets to attend simple relegation matches. The LCS is immensely fun to watch, and I want Smite to follow in suit. Make it a real competition.

Love it, I myself am building a team and trying to go pro, esports for any game is a huge plus and any competitive game should strive to push that.

When you watch them do you have to watch them via the spectate system?

No they stream it on the HiRez twitch channel. Usually it's DMBrandon and Drybear doing it.

- i think most people love watching streams specially from competitive play.
- most people would like to have their own pro teams. But imo making teams with members from different parts of the world is a bit of a problem. Their are clock and language issues, etc. Also who is gonna be the leader of a team and initiate the recruitment and how to do that is a tricky aspect.
- just a point on communication , subzero came with idea of more voice commands in game where we have 2 unique alphabets for each god like 'AO' for Ao Kuang so that we can have a voice command like VFAO -> "focus ao kuang". I think more effective voice commands will remove the necessity of phone communication which some people find awkward.

I'd rather be the one who is being watched than watching.

That sounded weird...

Very much agree but who is going to watch us( unless you are megan fox!) play on twitch , when the official Hi-rez channel on twitch is always on with hugely popular streamers already there.

This would be silly as you'd have to memorize a ton of codes. Better would be VF1 (Focus God 1) which is whatever god is listed first on the enemy team. The game client could easily handle this and make it say 'AO'.

The problem, of course, is that everytime a new god was released they'd have to rehire the voice actors. That or they'd have to predict all of the gods they may implement and have all of the voices on hand. It really ties their hands.
