This would be silly as you'd have to memorize a ton of codes. Better would be VF1 (Focus God 1) which is whatever god is listed first on the enemy team. The game client could easily handle this and make it say 'AO'.

The problem, of course, is that everytime a new god was released they'd have to rehire the voice actors. That or they'd have to predict all of the gods they may implement and have all of the voices on hand. It really ties their hands.

You don't really have to have 49 new VGSs for it. There are 5 players on the team, so they should make 5 new VGSs for that. VF1/2/3/4/5 - Focus Player 1/2/3/4/5 (obviously the system will recognize the particular god and say it's name, so if you have a team of:
Ymir, He Bo, Apollo, Bakasura & Hercules, you'd say VF2 and it'll say Focus He Bo.

Arka I had a similar idea to that alphabetized thing like forever ago, except instead of making a ton of codes, just have "Focus Player 1-5" because everyone has the same lineup. Much easier.

Oh Jordenito just restated that. Yeah I said this like 3 months ago. I wanted it before all these new ones even came out. There was actually a thread for suggested VGS pings.

Ya we can recommend these voice codes, would be nice, similarly VD1 meaning "don't focus X god"

For the ones that said focus a certain god. Would it be beneficial to ping the person you wanted focused. So if you go VF2 and that's a he bo. It makes him have blue around him and what not with the little ping icon. Make it easier to see without taking the time to find out who the second player on their team is.

Sorry if that's super confusing.

Just from my experience based on playing LoL before discovering Smite: I don't like the concept of e-sports and generally turning games into something you have to compete professionally for money.

Going competitive changes you, slowly or rapidly depending on who you are. You begin to appreciate the game less for what it is, and treat it more like a way of life. You worship the meta like it's your god, and you belittle and harass those who know little of it or don't follow it at all. You start to view people who play for fun as parasites that make it difficult for you to team up with people who share the same professional stance as you. I even watched a friend of mine change to such a behavior, shortly after getting into league matches. He used to play casual conquest for fun and laughs, now he spews harsh criticism at people who do things wrong in casual matches.

MOBAs (remember, this is from my experience) attract the worst kind of players than any other game, because its among the few genres of games that are treated like a sport rather than an outlet for fun and entertainment.

With effort, I can probably run league matches, but I choose not to because I don't wish to contribute to what's wrong with MOBAs.
