This is my first post on here so none of you will know me from here, but you may have seen me in game.

I've played Smite for many months now and a few days ago I tried to log in only to find a message saying 'your account has been banned' I had no idea why or for how long.

After looking around for a bit I found the whole Hi Rez spyware thing and how cheatengine is some big deal with it, I literally downloaded it solely to play Borderlands 2 in 3rd person lol.

I never used or even thought about using it for Smite, why remove the reason I play it, competitiveness.

I got a response today from Hi Rez saying I broke some EULA thing and that after reviewing the 'evidence' they stand by the ban.

TL;DR
Basically if you have cheatengine, delete it before you get banned for 'hacking' even if you use it for anything but Smite.

Can you get a new account? That would probably be a pain in the butt but other than that you don't really have any options. Kinda Sucks.

Nope, they banned my IP. Unless they lift the ban I can't play it at all now.
It's shocking really since that meant my girlfriends account is banned too and she doesn't even use my PC :/

You could try using a Proxy/Ip changer or contacting your ISP about a possible IP change .

Changing your IP should work. That is if you are not already fed up with the whole situation.

Yeah that would probably be the only option to play it again at the minute but that still means I've lost hundreds of hours and all the money I spent on my account, probably around £40-50...

Has anyone else had any experience like this/anyone know of bans being lifted? Especially when they're clearly wrong.

I could have sworn that a person a month or two ago said the EXACT same thing and they way you two talk sound the EXACT same.

Hell you both even even put the same exact ending. Which is why I'm assuming you are the same person. It would be highly unlikey that you ain't but possible so don't take my word for it :)

Anyways, What is the point of posting it here?

Really? Well that's not me lol, why would I do that? Anyway I posted it cause it'd help me if someone had been in a similar situation and got anywhere with it, so maybe I should speak to the guy who posted a similar thread xD

Also I did it as a warning to other people who use a cheat on any other game cause they obviously don't care what you do only what you have on your PC.

The more I think about losing my Smite account and £50 for playing Borderlands 2 in 3rd person the more ****ing ridiculous it sounds, how can they justify that :S

Hmm, I also have cheat engine installed for quite a while now, yet I am fine. The bans probably haven't got around to me yet.

As to what we can do... Well.... Nothing. You're best off trying to reason with support.
