I actually liked assault for the randomness, and the fact people are less inclined to BM you for doing badly because the game gave everyone a random god. There's lots of factors in assault that kept people from criticizing each other, and I liked that.

Now that you will be able to reroll, the factor of randomness has been softened and soon we'll have people BM'ing for "wtf, y u no reroll? u cost us game. i report u.". Can't afford to reroll? That's another reason to be BM'd. "play more games scrub."

I'm going to be holding back a lot here, because for some reason, your post really pissed me off.

After playing ARAM from LoL for all these years, I have never, in my life, seen anyone harass someone else because they didn't re-roll. While yes, this will soften up the randomness, the hefty cost of it is going to turn people off from doing it.

The reason why there's so little flaming in Assault is because people see it for the fun game mode that it is, not a serious game mode where you have to win. The addition of a re-roll is not going to change that, people will still have fun playing the game.

Smite's community, like almost every MOBA, is immature, short-tempered, rude and irritating, but I really don't think their sense of rationality is all too clouded. I think you're really overestimating the stupidity of people. The game is random, and if you get a bad god, it's simply bad luck. People aren't idiots. They realise this.

I really think you were simply trying to sell out invalid arguments for the sake of trying to justify your dislike for the new feature. Softening up the randomness is a very valid argument, but saying that people will start harassing each other for not changing gods? That's just flat out nonsensical. If you dislike something, you dislike something, and if you give your reasoning, granted it's logical and on incredibly strong foundations, then the decent people won;t mind. There's no need to try to think hard about some BS argument in order to further justify your opinion.

First off, I never said I disliked the idea. Personally, I like that I can reroll, espcially if I wind up getting a god I either don't like or the god would conflict with the team comp.

When it comes to MOBAs and the average toxic person it tends to attract, I always expect the worst possible outcome. It's a defense mechanism I've developed while growing up, where expecting the worst outcome no matter what tends to hurt me less when it happens. You think pessimistic, but I think its good because if something positive happens which I didn't expect (like you believe this feature will turn out like ARAM which I've never played resulting in my opinion), everything turns out for the better and it makes me happy.

Am I overestimating people's stupidity? Perhaps, but most times my assumptions have been correct when it comes to MOBAs and the community. However, I will admit I am passing too much judgment on a feature I've had no prior experience with on a gamemode nobody takes seriously to begin with. Maybe things will turn out good like you say it will, but I'm not holding my breath on the off-chance it doesn't.

So yeah, one can re-roll a non-healer into a healer- happened in my second to last match (so I suppose it works viceversa too, not that anyone would be willing to try it).

Pizzarugi, in no way will people rage about not re-rolling, if they want their team to have a healer, they can pay the price, no one would be that much of a hypocrite.
